Ana,

The dark multicolor sunstone is one of the most expensive. My Photography skills are bad. I think I will have to have my son talk some pictures and put them up on the net for me.

Wow! That is a beautiful sapphire! What do you plan to do with it?
Suzanne
I haven''t decided yet. It is a great size for a ring. So I am looking for a nice setting that will show the colour of the stone as it is a really beautiful deep blue so I''d like white gold too keep the blue colour there but I am unsure as yet on what sort of style.

Just got this piece of non-traditional bicolor sapphire, 2.21ct, pink-violet.

Surprisingly the color zoning is quite an evenly split.

Cheers!

Awesome!
nice find.
I like it :}

Cool find! I''m obsessing over sunstones right now, but when I saw your picture I instantly thought tourmaline. I have so much to learn...

Nice tourmaline. :)
I''ve always wanted to get a bi-color watermelon tourm, but can figure out how to set it to bring out the color split. Especially these tourm are usually scissors cut

Hello Ana,

That is a very nice sunstone carving. As you turn the stone the colors change. Sunstone doesn''t photograph well. Some Oregon sunstone changes colors like alexandrite from a dark blue/green in daylight to a deep red in incandecent light. I do not own any of those but am still looking. I will try and take pictures of the ones I have and post them tonight.

I am looking for pure red oregon sunstone or orangey gemstone ( if possible of size in excess of 3 cts)

anyone who can supply them, please contact us :[email protected]

what do you plan to do with it? we are looking for similar stone.

Storm, that garnet is gorgeous. Orange/pink/brown garnets are my fave and I keep thinking I should get myself one, but what to do with it? Just having it in my pocket would be enough. :) What will you do with it?

I love nearly all colors of gemstones and also appreciate different textures and patterns -- like this druzy

And this Mexican agate.

Yep, it''s pyrite.

I love the rainbow effect of the pyrite. I bought a peice just to put on the mantle of my fireplace. What I am really looking for is a scenic jasper/agate in multicolors.

A bit ago "Stoneageindustries" had a nice collection of mirror slabs of scenic jasper rather large and trully "scenic". I can't know if they still have them...
