Hi everyone!
I'd like to buy a blingy 5 stone diamond band, preferably in white gold. It would have to be okay to be sized to a 6.5. Is anyone looking to sell theirs? Thanks a lot! :wavey:
 
oooooh! my heavens -that JbEG is a beauty!!! Go for it -you only live once! THink how spectacular that would be on your hand and how amazing you would feel sporting that on your hand!

(yeah, I have big dreams and small pockets, so I know how you feel!)
 
If you don't mind me asking, what CTW and price range are you interested in?
 
I don't have one but would be interested in getting one too...I was just logging on to post the same thing!

However, I want platinum and need it to be sizable to a 3.5. That's different enough to not be a thread jack, right? ;))

And yes, the jbeg one is gorgeous...but too much for my budget.

Hi bright ice,

Ideally I would love to have 5 x .25 pointers, or 5 x .30 if budget allows. But I have no idea how much a band should sell for on the secondhand market. Also, I'm not a big fan of the U prong design because I worry about the stones being unprotected.

I may have to let go mine.. Very blingy 0.32ct each stones..
 
I am seriously thinking about selling the one I bought a few months ago on PS pre-loved. It is a 2.14 ct with .40s U prong in 18kt gold with platinum head and is stunning!

I am looking into an OEC so I'll need the funds.

brightice, that is gorgeous! I'm not sure it's physically possible to size something with such large stones down to a 3.5?? If it is, I'd definitely have a hard time passing that one up! :)

I will decide in the next week or two. I am in the process of hunting an OEC, so it all depends what I end up buying. I sure hate to let it go but I will need the funds for a setting.
 
For the right price I would be potentially interested in selling my five stone. I still love the ring, but I've been thinking of upgrade/downgrading it to slightly smaller stones in a 3/4 eternity design.

A couple of years ago I upgraded all of the I colored stones in the ring so that they are all H or G (3 H's and 2 G's). They are all either SI1 or VS2 and eye clean to my eyes.

I *think* my ring design could be resized up or down to a 6.5 or 3.5 in justginger's case (currently a 4.5), but you'd have to ask WF or another jeweler to make sure.

Laila619, it's really about personally preference, but the diamonds in my U-prong have not had any problems. The girdles are exposed, but it's well made and has held up wonderfully. The only wear on it that is evident is a patina that could easily be polished out. The one thing I'd be concerned about is wearing it next to other rings and damaging those rings, since the girdles are exposed and could rub on a setting next to it.

I'm not sure what an appropriate price would be. When I did a search at WF for ACA's in the size color range and the setting cost, the retail today would about $5300. Feel free to suggest an offer if either of you are interested or let me know if you have any questions. I still have all of the original certs and documentation.

WOW two beautiful 5-stones... Now that I started fram scratch... I would have been alllll over Kcoursolle's ring... The stone are almost identical to mine.... Except I west Solarfera at the last minute... That's a beautiful ring! :love:
 
kcoursolle, your ring is stunning as well. I've just flicked an email to WF to see if they think it could be sized down without dramas with angles and available finger space. I'm very keen to see what they have to say. :bigsmile:

Thanks justginger, it's a great band. I still really do love it. I'm curious to hear what they say too.
 
Hehe, I'm a size 4.5.... But I just bought the preloved leon mege eternity band so funds are a little lower.
A 5 stone is my next project though.

I hope it's good news for the sizing! I can't imagine going down one size would effect much.

Mind if I ask what type of price range you are thinking of? Even if Laila does not want it I think it might be out of my budget. I was looking for a five stone in the 0.15ct-0.20ct each range. But I just love lower colors.

I was coming on to do my own WTB a five stone :lol: . Laila- I hope it is ok to join the band wagon? I am looking for something pretty different then you are IMO.

Looking for a five stone in the 0.75tcw or above. Love lower colors but higher are fine too, not too picky with clarity or metal. I am a size 6 on my RH. A combination of gemstones and diamonds would also be of interest.

I am thinking of selling my 5-stone band (NOT the BGD one I showed in SMTB recently). This one is made up of E-F colour, VS1- VS2, all GIA ideal cut, 0.37ct each, no fluor. The setting is in 18k WG, resizeable (I should think at least to one or two sizes larger than mine which is a 4.75).

I haven't listed it yet - as I only got it made recently (long story) and am feeling ambivalent about it, cos these stones look really small on *my* hand, whereas the BGD ring looks kind of big...ARRGGHHH...I'm fed up trying to decide what is the right size for me! :rolleyes: If I do sell it (I can't return it as the vendor doesn't accept returns and has no upgrade policy ::) ), I'll be asking for $6.5k, slightly negotiable. I may decide to keep it though. But feel free to let me know if you're interested.
