Hello, Everyone!!

There was a thread a while ago that was titled Show Me Your Centerpiece. Well, I wanted to ask something very similar but a bit more specific.

I was wondering if anyone has or is using tall or tree like centerpieces at your reception. If so, I would love to see or hear about your ideas. I am picturing a tree like centerpeice with a wine theme. Maybe grapes (fake ones) hanging... not sure.

If anyone would like to share your tall or tree like centerpieces, please do so! I am sure I am not the only one that is looking for some ideas!

Thanks sooooo much!!!

YES! I would love to show you a pic but wait, I still don''t have my pro pics yet!

Anyways, we did flower centerpieces on all the tables but the head table. We sat at a round table in the middle of the room so I wanted something really dramatic. My florist did a "tree" with long branches and we hung hanging votices on the branches. I am guessing it was 3-4 feet tall. We had vases at the base for our flowers. I thought it was really cool and beautiful.

Sujuann,

I don''t know if this will help... We had tall, sort of tree-like centerpieces at our reception. Orchids with lots of curly willow branches and votives hanging from the branches. The florist also glued some cymbidium orchids to the branches. Sorry, they''re not the best pics (non-pro). Hope it gives you some ideas!

Beautiful centerpieces Portia :)

Did you find the tall thin aspect of the vases enough to allow guests to see easily around them?

I fell in love with a tall tree like centerpiece in a recent bridal mag but I was a bit concerned about the possible conversation obstruction. I''m pretty sure having the vases skinny and tall would be enough to solve that problem but I''d really love to hear your feedback of how they actually worked in practice.

Since I''m planning on a fall themed wedding I thought something like the attached photo with orange/golden ribbon would be really pretty :) I''ve already done a bit of experimenting at home and so far I really like the look. While I''m not interesting in spending $17/piece for those metal spheres that they cut to make the bird nests, I have found that some of the larger tea infusers can be broken in half and used in much the same way. Not sure if that''s what I''ll end up using, but I like the idea that the main portion of the centerpiece can be made somewhat in advance and pretty inexpensively and have such a huge impact when put in the middle of a table.

It''s okay, Tacori E-ring, I understand! Thanks for letting me know though! I hope they send it to you soon... not for the pic but to help relieve that torture! But don''t forget... the best things sometimes take a while!!! I am sure they are going to be more gorgeous than ever and I can''t wait to see!

Thanks for remembering me

This pic is beautiful. I was wondering if you don''t mind me asking... where did you find the tree branches? Did you just be them at a place like Michaels or did you go to a floral shop?

Still waiting. My florist put together the "tree" for me. We bought the handing votives online. I think we had 12 of them. Every other table had low floral arrangements.
