She’s beautiful! I’m so excited to see the final product! :appl::appl::appl:

Thanks, crystalinmke! I’m 99% sure I’m going with YG. Just gotta show DH the pics and get his input, but I’m pretty sure he’ll agree that YG is the way to go. I think it really let’s the engraving stand out! :))
I'm a platinum girl all the way and am loving the new yellow gold ring I received. Something romantic about it!!:boohoo:

It really is romantic IMO! And it has this great vintage vibe, which I love. A vintage-looking setting in YG is just irresistible to me! :kiss2:

I’m not an enabler, but you have to do what you have to do.:twisted2:

Right??? Sacrifices must be made. Besides, I saved some $$$ by going with YG instead of plat, so it’s just the right thing to do! :rolleyes2:

I can’t wait to see the final product. I saw this setting on the site. It is gorgeous! I have a setting on the site as well. It has been a pleasure working with Rhino.

The Brenda setting. Waiting is the hardest part about doing custom settings or waiting for stones but I know it will be worth it.

Oh, and we did a last-minute tweak to the setting! Jon had initially showed me a really great vintage-inspired basket and I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so we made the change.

Ohhhh, I LOVE the Brenda!!! If I was going to do a plain solitaire, that one would be IT for sure! It's gorgeous!

I love the basket. I went back and forth with doing the basket with the solitaire. It is going to be gorgeous.

Thank you. Jon is great to work with and makes the process easy and fun. My wedding band is going to be like your hand engraving on your setting!

I love the head that's shown on the Emma on Jon's site, too . . . but there's just something so old-school cool about that basket! LOL! Also, I think it'll allow the stone to sit lower, which is definitely a plus. :))

That's gonna look BEAUTIFUL with your solitaire! I can't wait to see!

This is gorgeous! Do you feel like the bezel affects the light return in any way? Is your AVR an Amora or Moissanite? I've been curious about this because I am longing for a bezel set solitaire! Thanks! Again, so stunning!

My AVR is an Amora, 2.66ct (good thing I looked it up...in my head I was thinking it was 2.8 or 2.9. The halo really does maximize how large the stone appears). I wear a size 6, although I got the Astrid a little bigger so I could continue adding to my CvB stack and not end up with a muffin finger haha. The bezel doesn’t effect light performance that I know of...the underside is incredibly open, so it gets fantastic light play in any conditions, pastels 24/7. I’ll have to dig through my pictures and see if I’ve got a shot of the underside.

IMG_0320.JPG IMG_0322.JPGAnd Here it is!! My 2.56 August Vintage cushion, K SI1 from @Rhino. Caysie says it's more beautiful in person and I will receive it tomorrow. Caysie says that the stone looks much like a diamond.

I take a quick break from the forums and projects start rolling out. :lol-2: I absolutely love your ring! It's just the perfect setting for that gorgeous AVC. Caysie does amazing work so no surprise there but dang nonetheless. :kiss2:

Are you wearing it a lot?

:appl::appl::appl:

Emma was my great-grandmother. She loved her jewelry, so I obviously had to name this beauty after her! :mrgreen2:

Love this setting. Captures the vintage feel perfectly. It's beautiful.
And I so love that you named her after your great grandmother.

Thank you, Missy and elle_71125! :kiss2:

Elle, I use it as a weekend/date night ring, I wish I could wear it more, but given the circumstances I work in, only the most modest rings are appropriate. So Astrid waits patiently at home and comes out to play for the fun stuff hehe.
