http://www.diamondbistro.com/category/219/Colored-Center-Stone/listings/27394/Beautiful-filigree-ring.html
Here's the story....
A woman I worked with has a number of beautiful pieces she inherited from her aunt. She knows nothing about the history or value of the pieces, and she is in a situation in which the money is much more a necessity to her family than the beautiful pieces. Sad, I know. This is the first piece she is trying to sell.
I took it in to my jeweler and was disappointed with his opinion. Bad news..... the piece is 10k white gold, one of the leaves is missing on the decorative flowers, the stone is loose, slightly abraded on the underside, windowed, and is a man made spinel. I wanted to get that all out because I want to share all the wonderful features of this ring, which was all I saw upon holding it myself!
The color of this stone is an amazingly intense greenish-blue. I thought it may be an unheated aqua. It measures a generous 15x10mm. The piercing on the filigree is pristine, and it is highlighted on the shoulders with a beautiful flotwer design of rose and green gold! I've tried very hard to get pictures that show both the good and not so good qualities of this piece. I can guarantee that, no matter, it will be a knockout on your hand!!
Since my friend really needs the funds, I'm listing this at a very reasonable price, taking into account the condition of the piece. There will be no returns, but I will be happy to cover shipping by USPS Priority Mail.
Ring is size 6 and moderately sizable. Please ask questions! I'm Upgradable on PS.
