I unset my OEC from its mount and wondered if anyone would like to buy it? I think it would look wonderful with a colored gemstone, or a diamond of course!
The mount is 14k yellow gold. It is a very rich brassy allow of yellow gold, as is typical of rings from the turn of the last century. The mount originally held a 5.2mm diamond, so it is a calibrated "half carat" size. It needs a good cleaning and polish, best done when the new stone is mounted.
The mount weighs 2.3 grams, it is lightweight but well made. The shank is 2mm wide between the fingers, tapering to 1.7mm on the underside. The head of the ring blooms from the shank into a 7.5mm "blossom" that holds the gem. The rise of the shank is 1.4mm between the fingers and the table height of the set gemstone would be under 5mm.
It is size 6 and easily sizable by a skilled bench who can match the alloy color.
The ring is exceptionally comfortable to wear, being so low set. Functionally similar to a bezel setting when worn.
Asking $100 including shipping and insurance.
Let me know if you have any question! Sale is final, I accept PayPal.
