They can totally be pointy. Here's a setting by Gem Concepts that demonstrates that well.Maybe a stupid question but can a collete setting have v prongs for the pointy ends or will that look too weird?

Me too I prefer it without itNice find!
I can’t decide if I want the v prongs or not just for aesthetic reasons. I love the look of all the uniform prongs on the collete. Hmmmm
Not to hijack, but wow! This is gorgeous.
Just dropped her off with my jeweler. Along with my ACA bangle to get sized down. I feel so naked!
Ugh. The wait time is going to be so horrible but she’s optimistic she can finish it before Christmas. Yah!
Yes. I know exactly what you mean. I dropped my ring offs at Thursday to have something checked and they told me it would be ready on Friday. On Friday they told me it would be ready on Monday. Today, Monday, they said tomorrow! Yours will be excruciating I’m sure! I’ll pray Christmas and no later for you!
Ahhh! Amidst all your other projects, I almost forgot about hazel! Can't wait to see it!
I decided to go satinThis is going to be amazing! Did you eventually decide on satin finish or no? I like the idea personally...
