Bloomberg interview with Angara CEO about market trends

YouTube recommended this 7 minute long Bloomberg interview to me and I thought other PSers would find it interesting! It's mostly repeating things we've already heard and seen here, but specifically talks about trends in lab versus natural diamonds versus colored gems for engagement rings and how he thinks the big upcoming jewelry market will be married couples rather than new engagements.

Thanks for posting N2J. I kinda agree that people who already have natural diamonds can also dip their toes into lab growns. We can collect diamonds of all shapes and sizes and be able to experiment. I just bought some tester lab grown diamond oecs for earrings lol.

Very interesting.

To me, personally, lab grown can never be 'mind clean'.
So I'd never want one.
Do I give a flying F if others wonder about my diamond's origin?
No.

I know what it is.
That's all that matters.

I'd bet most who feel this way are old, and will be gone soon.
As demand fades away, so will mining.

BTW I also have no interest in another manufactured imitation, a lifelike silicone secks doll.
Natural means something.
As always, to each their own.
