blue white diamond thoughts?

yes, my appointment is tomorrow! What should I be looking for with the ideal scope? because I see what you mean with the ASET image, but this stone looks great from the ideal scope imo

Yes, the ASET scope does provide a bit more info than the Ideal-Scope. But you can use this as your guide for what a "perfect" Ideal-Scope image should look like. You can see that the edges are bit different from the IS image you posted.

Wow! That’s so subtle. I think I see the difference, but definitely going to be tricky when it’s so close. Should have ordered the ASET scope too, but I thought it was for other shaped diamonds mostly

I think you'll be fine with the Ideal-Scope. The 1.03 may not be a super ideal cut, but it's still better than most diamonds out there.

I was able to take this photo myself. Definitely think the pavilion is a little uneven, but the fire better on this stone than all of the others I requested to view in person. Plus the blue fluorescence was everything I could have hoped for and more. This was also the only very strong that didn’t look cloudy. My sales person actually loved all the little toys I brought to investigate the diamonds haha 5333689A-4F3E-4041-B126-A3F6C133CAE1.jpeg

Nice job with the photo--it's difficult to take these and hold everything just right. If this was the most fiery and the only one that wasn't cloudy, it sounds like you have a winner! Did you take it around to different lighting conditions and not just under the jewelry store lights (which make all stones look sparkly)?

Thanks! Yeah it’s very tricky to hold correctly. But that’s a great suggestion! I took it out a few times at work the day I got it and it was great there too, but yeah I definitely want to see it on a sunny day. Just need to keep it hidden from the GF haha

Hi DrSauce,
I am a fan of Strong Blues but reject a lot of V Strongs.
Can you post the info on your top contenders and I will see if there are any professional videos to check to see if the stone will be milky hazy. Sorry - dont have time to read all the thread.

The GIA number of my top stone is: 6431758968.

I didn’t see anything hazy, but would love a second opinion!

Sorry, stone is not on any databases. With at least good 10x you need to look for internal graining through the pavilion especially.
I have seen many Flawless stones that have graining. GIA are not good at picking it up.
