Christies auction this month, selling a blue diamond they're calling the Bulgari Blue. It's an eye-catcher, all right! Set in a rather strange ring with a 9.87 ct colorless diamond (G, VS1), the blue is 10.95 ct, VS2, Fancy Vivid Blue. Estimate on request -- who's gonna ask? (First thing I would do is liberate them from their bizarre home, but taste is personal.) Hope the GIA report is big enough to read.

A significant chunk of the premium (if any) will be in the Bvlgari signature and provenance, the shape as a loose stone is a bit problematic given the extreme high value of the stones.

Very bizzare setting indeed.

I actually like the baguette band by itself though.

Beautiful blue diamond

oooooo love the pink too just posted! Gimme that piece of bubblegum! :lickout:

Oh, the pendant idea that just came to mind for that blue diamond...... :cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky:

The colour of the blue is lovely, but the setting imo is unattractive and would be awfully awkward to wear..one would be way too concerned to damage those jutting diamonds!

The pink, on the other hand is just incredible and is a fantastic example of the right setting.

Kenny might be interested in that blue diamond
