I opened it up in the car and my first sight I was *slightly* disappointed cause guess what, I saw some color. Ok. I got the ring. I have mixed emotions. This diamond definately has a different personality than my old diamond. I honestly like the "personality" of this one better, definately. The warmth though is apparant.

I know, I KNOW, what did I expect from a K??? It faces up white, but as the owner I see all angles on a regular basis. I''ve just got to spend some more time with it before I decide how I feel about the color. I went from a J to a K. It''s not like I went from a G to a K. I guess I just didn''t expect such a difference. THEN AGAIN, I remember VIVIDLY the day I picked up my J. I felt this EXACT same way. VERY uneasy about the color that first day, "listening" much more to the color listed on the cert instead of "listening" to my eyes---but before long I swore I noticed NO color. And then there is the small size increase. I knew it was minute, about half a mm bigger. I felt it was noticable when I opened the box and put it one, but now a couple of hours later I''m not sure.

SO. I really think this one will grow on me like my gorgeous J did. I got a few good pics and will keep working. Here''s a start...

I too have thought about going bigger and lowering my color. I have an "I" colored and would love to find a deal like you!!! The K looks very pretty!! Were they able to use your same head? I REALLY think it is a BEAUTY CONGRATS

Sorry for attacking y''all with pics.......

Diamonds DO get dirty fast when you introduce them to flowers (as Mara has told us before). I got a Sharper Image Ultrasonic Cleaner for Valentine''s Day (ring is for my bday 3/3.........yeah, like I was going to WAIT once it arrived!) and I''ve already run the new ring through the cleaner after it played with the roses for a bit.

Oh, BTW, I had WF shave down the band of the ring a bit making it a little narrower. Also stressed making the prongs TINY.

Hey Woo!

Yes, I can tell a difference in size. I really can. NO, it''s not DRASTIC (unfortunately......not that I thought it would be, just that I WANT it to be!). But it does feel bigger. On the downside, yes, I can tell a color difference. Maybe I had a "high" J and this is NOT a "high" K??? As for the head, they did have to do a new one. They told me initially that it would fit, but then Leon got ahold of it and realized it wouldn''t.

Another upside to this stone is the clarity. Although another SI2, my J had an inclusion I could see. This one does not, so far.

It''s twining wisps and they really ARE invisible to the naket eye.

The stuff showing up in some of the pics is dirt/grime from playing with the flowers I think. It does seem much "cleaner" to me.......but definately warmer.

Being at an I, I think you can DEFINATELY hop down to a J safely.

Like I said before, my GOAL really is a J/SI2 2.5ish one of these days!

NO need to second guess that stone, girlfriend, it is gorgeous

and HUMONGOUS! Looks like 2 carats on your hand! I SWEAR! And looks blazingly white to me! No one, repeat after me, NO ONE is gonna notice any *warmth* at all... I promise! Think about it -- before you found PS did you even give diamond colors more than a cursory thought as one of the obscure "C"s?!!! Most people do not. They only know and see sparkle and SIZE, BABEEEE, size!

And I dunno if it''s the thinner band, or just the edge-to-edge killer sparkle of that stone (or did you have finger lipo?!) but that diamond looks WAAAAAAY BIGGER to me!!!

A killer, totally eyeclean K/SI2 in an AWESOME size! ***Whoa, whatta find!*** I say it''s PERFECT and I hope you wear it proudly and happily. Maybe someday when you upgrade again, you''ll decide to go back to a "J", and hey, that''s OK. But maybe not, too! Who knows?!
