A little update. Dan sent pics and it should be ready to be shipped today. Not the best pics, obviously. All in all took a month and 3 weeks. Not too bad at all!

Love that crown setting! The sapphire has a beautiful tone.

She arrived yesterday!!! It was a rainy day so I didn’t get a chance to take face up pictures and the office lights isn’t doing it any favors right now. I am in love! I am obsessed with the side profile and how hefty it feels on the hand. I expected it to feel light because of the price, but it is a solid piece. Side profile pics are all I have right now. Will get some more when I get home!!

Thank you!! I was just admiring her this morning on my trip to the post office. I took a quick pic hiding under my canopy in the garden but she’s such a rich blue in person.

I figured to add the final pictures here to keep it all in one place. She arrived today and I am amazed. I do like it by itself though, so defeats the purpose of a matching band, but it’s my short fingers to blame. Stacks don’t look right unless they’re plain bands to me.

Here it is with my 1.8 mm band. I love it but I think I want something thicker and more substantial. Not just width but material thickness wise.

Totally. I feel like 2.2-2.5 could be your sweet spot?

Back to the drawing board. It’s been over a year and I am still band- less. Ha! Currently just wearing her with the 1.8mm band but something is still lacking. It got me to thinking, I love everything about my OEC band except it is much too substantial to pair with the 3 stone. So why not make a baby version? A 9 stone comprising of 2.7-3mm stones. It will be skinnier, height wise and width wise, and would play better with the 3 stone. I love the style of this from JBG. Would going down from 4mm OECs to ~3mm OECs achieve what I’m looking for? With the original band I had made, the width ended up being 4.5 mm which is much too overpowering in my opinion.

I think if you talk to your vendor and ask for a wax ring, you'll be able to see how they fit together or even going to a standard jewelry shop and seeing how an eternity band fits. IMO, 2.5mm would be more pleasing as 3mm would be too close to the size of the side stones.

Excuse the horrendously dry hands, but here’s the side stones next to a cheapie 3mm stud.

I have a 3mm band that I wear with my other rings. I find it perfect, it augments but never competes. Even stuffed with way too many bands on short fingers like the last picture.
My sides are 4mm.

Thank you! I think I’m settling for something around 2.8mm diamond size, with the prongs it would be a little over 3mm total width. It would make a nice “supporting” band.
