Hi Freedomroll,

I'm not really active on PS anymore, however a friend was kind enough to alert me to your posting in my other thread re lavender spinels.
If you are still looking for a stone for your ering and would like to communicate outside of PS, please reply here and we will work something out.
I would have to give it a lot of thought whether I would like to sell that particular gem - as you know they are not easy to come across at all - but I wanted to at least let you know I had seen your post, and that we can have a chat if you desire. ::)

Cheers,
AJ.

AJ I have been looking for a lavendar spinel for months so if you decide to sell and freedom roll has no interset contact me via DB (same name). A good lavendar is impossible these days :nono:

i am so very, very interested! :naughty:

if you would consider selling it, it would be the ultimate wedding gift to a stranger...i've eyeballed it for so long in your thread and saw the trouble you had getting your project started then saw that it finally got set in the bracelet and assumed there was no chance at all...but now it seems there is a window... :appl:

i joined PS just to get in touch with you and don't know what is protocol (or whether you can even bear to part with it) on these boards and i'm not sure if you are a jeweler by trade or just an enthusiast...so i will let you guide me a bit here...

how do we chat?

fingers crossed...
julie

hi sarahbear, how have you been lovey? It feels like Forever since I've been posting on PS!
It also seems everyone is looking for a lavender spinel all the time, nothing changes there, ha ha :D
I have the same name on DB too, although currently no active listings - I'm not sure if this means folks can still contact someone through their expired listings ? If so you are welcome to send me a note ::)

Hi freedomroll/julie..

I'm glad you saw my message for you here - that is sweet that you joined just to be able to track down your dream stone. I can certainly relate to that drive for "that perfect one", and I really hope that you will find your ideal gem for your ering; coloured stone e-rings are a lovely idea, and your setting choice should be very pretty ;))

I am certainly not a trade member, just an enthusiast / very small time collector and I just enjoy having hand made jewellery commissioned.
Freedomroll, are you familiar with "Diamond Bistro"? (google will bring you to it). This is a site which many of the PS members will prefer to use when on-selling any of their personal gem or jewellery items, often to other PSers. (it is intended for consumers to sell to other consumers, not tradies, and isn't nearly as large as ebay etc).
I ask, as we are not able to post email contacts and so on here on PS - but I could set up a listing on Diamond Bistro so as you and sarahbear too can communicate with me in private..? Let me know if I should go ahead with that, ok?

In all honesty, I would like to be upfront right from the start so as not to give false hopes at all- I should really let you both know this is genuinely one of my fave gems, I'm so sorry
I know it isn't really big or a fancy cut, but I think the colour speaks for itself (violet/lavender is also my personal favourite colour).
Freedom, I think I may have even made mention in that other thread about the BB violet gem, what a journey it was to finally come to own one! You can see my join date to the left - shortly after joining this community, a lavender-violet spinel was always the very top of my 'wish list' ;)

With all that said though - I haven't completely made up my mind 110% yet, so I'm happy to have a chat with you ladies, and see where that goes.
Freedom - I haven't been 'in the game' for quite a while, so am unfamiliar with what rough and buying trips my favoured cutters have access to of late. It may be the case that if we do a lil diggin, someone could have what you're after...
(although I'm guessing, sarahbear would have covered that path already- sarah?)

Also, the 'matching' gem which was commissioned for me by Gene Flanigan for that project is also very pretty as an option..? Its not quite lavender - more..lilac, I would say..and is also a super pretty gem in the same size and RB cut.

OK, well pls excuse me if I am slow to respond (time differences and all that), but I'll keep an eye on this thread.
Take care, Julie and Sarah :wavey:

i have registered for diamond bistro under freedomroll and and am ready if you are :wink2:

i can understand the personal nature of your journey as i feel that i am experiencing similar feelings. i don't really know if i could convince you, except to say that i feel something for that stone. odd, but i know that other gem-lovers will understand. so i will leave it in your (beautifully accessorized) hands. :wavey:

Hi, I was thinking of a Lavender spinel myself. Are they that rare? What are the prices average, if I may ask. I know nothing about them. Any pictures. They are a dreamy stone aren't they
