I HAVE to have this ring!!!

This is an old David Yurman ring, maybe from 2-3 years ago. I was never able to find it listed anywhere for sale... not that it would be anywhere near affordable for me! Have any of you seen it before?

Do you guys think anyone could replicate this? How big do you think that center stone is? Is it a cushion? (my eyes are still a little young when it comes to diamonds!)

I'm blown away by this ring. I have never seen anything that fits me so well!!

Please, if you have seen any similar settings, post!! post!!

I have never seen it but you might contact DR directly. It is a stunning ring. Good luck...

Sometimes you can get lucky and Signed Pieces will get some of their jewelry in....you might contact them to see if they can help locate one......

Forgot to ad.....it is beautiful!!!!

I haven''t seen that particular ring but I do know that David Yurman discontinues pieces from time to time. I have been eyeing one of his bracelets on ebay that has been discontinued in stores. I just can''t make up my mind if I like it well enough to go for it.

You can certainly go to their website and contact them. If it is not still being made, you would have to find it on ebay or Signed Pieces.

It is different and very pretty - good luck!

I will call DY tomorrow and keep everyone posted!

Can anyone tell me what shape that is, and how big they think it may be?

Thanks!

I almost jumped out of my skin!!
Thats the EXACT SAME ring that I was just looking for. I saw it in an issue
of InStyle or something a few years ago and have been trying to find the issue
it was in. Isn''t that crazy? Maybe someone can custom make it, its a fairly
simple design.

looks to my very untrained eye to be a 1.5 or so (maybe 2) carat round, with the prongs set to make it look a bit squared off. It is stunning. Maybe DY would make it as a special order? I am sure they still have the castings in their vaults...or a custom jeweler should be able to come up with something...

That is crazy!!!

We will have to keep each other posted... I am going to try and call someone at David Yurman tomorrow to ask about it. I have a lot going on, so it might be Wed. before I can get to it.

Please, someone, what shape is that center stone?? It would help me to describe the ring over the phone!!!

I would say a round or a cushion?

Thank you so much!

no problem...did you try ebay by any chance? Also, Saks and Neiman''s carry DY, they might have a lead on it...

I just looked on ebay... nothing.

How could such a pretty ring get so little attention??

I''ve been google-ing everything imagineable... the advertisements are the only evidence of it ever existing!

It''s beautiful! Good luck tracking it down.

Ok... here is the update.

I called the David Yurman store in Dallas, and was told the story behind that ring.

During a photoshoot, DY''s wife took off her ring (that he designed specifically for her) and put it on the model''s hand. This was about 3 years ago...

There have been so many requests for it that he recently released a line of engagement rings.

This particular ring is called the "crossover" ring. The setting is $3000!!! But you have to buy the stone from Yurman as well. I read somewhere online that the complete rings start at $5000.

With that information, I was able to find a couple more pictures (but not many!). Here they are, enjoy!

I''m thinking of things that we can sell so that I can get this ring!

If anyone knows of any similar settings, please post!

Thanks!

It''s so pretty!!! I have seen a lot of split shank rings, but none that did that cross-over thing. That setting is pricey though! Maybe, on this one, custom would be less?

If you didn''t want to wear a band with it, maybe that could be the "extra money" to buy this ring!!!

I believe Vera Wang makes a similar setting, although you probably wouldn''t be saving any money there.

I would look into seeing if anyone could custom make it, at that pricepoint. Seems simple enough to do, although I don''t know if the twisted shank is technically challenging for a benchman. Beautiful though!! What an interesting story about the ring.

WOW, that IS a beauty! I ADORE that "cross-over" style (especially WITHOUT the two extra flat rings above and below, like in the first photo you posted). OH! Gorgeous, gorgeous ring! And because there are two bands, it would satisfy my *need* for two rings (e-ring and w-ring)!

I'd say that would sure be worth selling off a few things for!!! (Who needs a house and a car? I think that stuff is over-rated anyway!!!)

Hmmmm. Old sneaky me has an idea. Do they sell the spiral bands seperately as wedding bands, say in white gold. Maybe then a local jeweler could assemble two of them into the desired shape with a basket head attached??

I''m suprised no one has "knocked it off" yet! It is super pretty & unique looking.

I really like it! Is it platinum (one would hope at that price!)
I really like DY, but man oh man, is his stuff marked up. I like Deco''s idea! :)

I''m can''t believe it either!

That is a good idea... I''ll check it out.

Yes, it is platinum. It also comes in yellow gold, but not white.

awesome ring!!
interesting story....
I''d love to see someone make this happen, it is gorgeous!

Not exactly the same, but Stuller has it for a round center too and though you can only figure out the price if your jeweler call them, the good part is that Stuller is not usually that expensive.

Check out these little $39.00 numbers from here ... interesting ...
