Does anyone here know which Canon digital cameras are compatible with
a MAC?

Looking for a max $400.00 camera for daughter

Hope your daughter is mature, careful and responsible. I bought my college age daughter a less expensive Canon (Powershot) and it laseted slightly over a year. She used it a lot, took it everywhere, kept it in her purse (not in its case), probably knocked it around a little and now it is stuck in the half-off position. I am gald I didn''t get a more expensive one because the broken one needs to be replaced.

It downloads perfected from our Macs...well, when it was working...

Which one to buy is now the big problem. She uses one a lot and does some
graphic work also. But nothing too complicated. I''ve been researching and I''m
more confused than ever.

I think on of the elfs would be perfect for a college student. We used to have one and it was a great size and took really great pictures.

I think (being none too good at this stuff) that any computer and camera will work together provided you have a USB port on the machine and a cable to connect the camera to the computer. I have a mac, and use a sony digital. with I Photo, and it is great!
