My new pink-orange "padparadscha" colored spinel in vintage inspired setting from MyDiamondZone. Stone is from Mastercutgems and is 6mm.

Gorgeous additions to this thread! Vesper I can't wait to see how you pair your Zircon and cabs. I think the idea of putting them together is great and looking forward to seeing the finished project. Desertrose your gem will look amazing in any setting you choose but love the idea of yellow gold. Sapphiremomma your sapphire rings are beyond beautiful and love your fiery opal ring. Userang your spinel ring is gorgeous and love how your spinel shifts from pink to peachy/pink.

I typically hate all things orange, but this orange/red was too good to pass up. I knew after "visiting" it 4x throughout the day that I had to buy it. Can't wait to see it in person!

I actually like the squiggles, but if you want something else there, maybe a few small circles instead? That would keep it relatively open, but still have something there.

Initially I was contemplating returning because of the orange/cognac color I saw inside (which I didn't like as much as the reddish color), but then as I was putting it back in the box I got sad and realized I really like how unique it is in a variety of lights. I think I might send it for a minor recut, as it's a bit too deep right now for a ring stone, but hopefully that won't be too difficult.

Did you decide to keep it? I saw that Jason marked it as sold on FB. I love the chubby pear shape.

Thanks, LisaRN and Acinom! I do love it, and yup, my outside pics have a very "smoldering" look, which I love and see even more clearly IRL. I'm sending it to Dan Stair at some point this week for the minor re-cutting of the bottom to make it less deep (and thus wearable as a ring stone). Dan said that it should be easy to take some of the depth off, so that's nice
