Well, I succumbed to the lure of Yvonne's sale and bought a purple garnet I wanted it set in a hexagon ring, so I will incur some CAD expense, since the stone is 6.46mm and her standard hex ring only takes a 5mm stone. I have a pair of purple garnet studs in her hex setting already, so it will be fun to wear them together.

I tried to buy more of Yvonne's amazing 3mm lavender sapphire melee, but found they're no longer there. When did it sell out?
There are a few gems of hers I really want, but the budget police have arrested me. Then, the more affordable stuff I want, is no longer there.

I know that feeling, voice. Her lavender and purple melee always goes quickly! I had wanted a bigger purple garnet for a while and thought I’d better get it before someone else did. I also liked that dark grey spinel, but went for the bright color, instead

Loving all the luscious garnets on here lately! Yummy colors!

Here’s a kyanite from Nepal that I had set into a pendant. It is colored with titanium and iron, just like sapphire, but is much softer. I got it from Brad at the Gem Trader.

It’s a rainy day so my pics are coming up a little too dark, but the color is very nice. Kyanite has some layered zoning which shows up at close inspection for an interesting effect.

So pretty! I love the horizontal setting, that you put in in yellow gold because it really pops.. and the color is beautiful!

Thank you, @Bluegemz ! I’m so excited about the pendant! I don’t usually prefer the darker blues, but this one really spoke to me. My jeweler chose the large, um, bail or whatever you call the hangy thing. I like the way it balances out the oval.

I really like that balance too. It works in a lovely way. Glad you got this darker blue because it’s amazing!

I got something exciting in the mail today - a little 0.7ct cat's eye alexandrite. Certified natural alexandrite with a good colour change. I bought it for the rough equivalent a week's worth of groceries for my family (incl. certificate by the Gem & Pearl Lab in London!). Feeling very lucky! Will be turned into a pendant with a fiji pearl and high carat yellow gold.

I've been eyeing this grandidierite cab that's been put on the 30% off list, it's only $157 right now. It would look great set in a platinum silver ring!

I don’t know, honestly. I have so many things in mind right now but I’m also trying to behave myself. I just love how that emerald looks and it’s at an attainable price point. There’s also this paraiba on her site that I love but can not afford. I won’t link it here because if someone buys it, I won’t be able to dream about it anymore.

I don't know if I will manage to snatch that emerald. I'm partially staying disciplined by telling myself that I'll only but it if it's 20% off. If I do get it, I'll likely grab some yellow diamond melee, too, so I hope no PSer was going to go for those. If I get the emerald, I will want to set it in a yellow diamond scalloped halo. Hope we don't step on each other's toes. I can gladly let other PSers have the gems if we have discussed it beforehand.
