Oh, I have a funny e-mail from Barry stating he contacting the Product Cart representative about software, explaining exactly how much time it took from when he activated the spinel last week until someone here purchased it. The representative could not believe it! And I quote "there's no software that can keep up with a PSer."

He was talking about me... and this spinel:

BEAUTIFUL Barry stones! I can't wait to see more pics of them.

I was so otherwise engaged last night that I didnt even realize until 11:30 that it was Barry's drop night. Wretchedly disappointed to have missed out on that small blue spinel. Congratulations on yours Forte!

Vendor photo of the tiny 4mm Lapis Lazuli studs I bought from Jetflair on etsy. They are apparently waiting for me at my house I'll post ear shots. ASAP


I wanted cheaper earrings, that were still real stones, that would match my 60 year old 6x4 opaque star sapphire. Pardon the fact that I'm pretty sure this ring hasn't been polished in that long (it was my mother's and grandmother's)

faegrace~ you've guessed it, it's a purple spinel.

I've been wanting a purple spinel from Barry for so long. I finally snatched one few weeks ago but unfortunately someone made the payment ahead of me so I lost the stone. I was literally heartbroken. Barry was very kind to offer me another purple spinel that looks exactly like the one sold. It's cloudy today, but wow this spinel sparkles even in the box! Periwinkle blue outdoor and more bluish purple indoor.

I also bought this red spinel from Dana today. Can't wait for it to arrive and possibly set it in a pendant.

I am beginning to wonder if Dana is okay because he was supposed to have posted new gems the beginning of April and then the first week of May.... No word on anything he was cutting for me either.

I would love to set the purple spinel into a delicate organic setting. I would love to set it in a Van Craeynest setting, if only I could afford it. ;___;

Thank you Chrono, I appreciate it! The idea for this prong is taken from the visor helmet of a knight. Teehee. This stone escaped its setting once and I wanted to make sure it didn't again. It was only luck that my son found it under the restaurant table. Yikes!

Awesome ring MT!

I got my new Barry Blue spinel (this makes #3...) and I love it, it's definitely the truest blue of the 3 I have so far, and doesn't change/shift color indoors unlike my other two. It's a shame it's small, but on the upside, it should fit perfectly into my Van Craeynest setting if I choose to go that route.

I'm at work, but here are some smudgy blackberry phone pics of the stone under office lighting. I don't know where that touch of green is coming from. Will try to get better pics later this week!

Here are some photos comparing it to my other blue spinel. The other way turns a little violet, and the gray comes out a bit more. In comparison, the new one is a nice, saturated blue even indoors.

Haha...maybe.

Actually, I had a wedding this past weekend, and wanted to get all fancy, so I did my nails. I just happen to love this color blue!
