Hi all,

PriceScope have been a great resource with my search for an engagement ring. I have narrowed down to 2 diamonds, and I'm having a hard time choosing between the 2 because they are so similar. Any help would be great. Thanks!

My search filter were:
Color: H+
Clarity: VS2+
Carat: As big as i can afford
Setting: Vatche U-113 (trying to find something very similar to tiffany's 6 prong)
Cut: Round
Budget: Under 20k

Diamond #1: 1.85c, H, VS2, 1.4 HCA, GIA-1226985227

Diamond #1 was mentioned in PriceScope before, it was described as cloudy and hazy compared to his other choice.

Diamond #2: 1.82c, H, VS2, 1.1 HCA, GIA-6445688887

Im drawn to GIA-1226985227. I like that the inclusions are off to the side. Im not seeing the cloudy/haziness. Have you asked anyone at Whiteflash for their opinion? They would be best to pass judgement on it, as it can be seen in hand.

Ask WF to send you a video of the two side by side! They’ll gladly do it. Both are stunning
I have the Vatche setting and it’s very very close to the Tiffany style. I love it!

I agree. It's also a bit larger. I'd be surprised that an ACA was cloudy and hazy and I also don't see that in the video.

Thank you so much. I just requested for a video of the 2 diamonds side by side; I will report back once i received it. They sent me a video of Diamond 1 in natural light setting, and it didnt show any sign of cloudiness or haziness. I suppose if they are very similar, Ill go with the bigger one.

I think the 1.85 looks less tinted and more precisely cut based on the images.

I like the 1.85 best as well!

Thanks everyone for the unanimous opinion. I have moved forward with the 1.85. The sales associate confirmed that it was not cloudy or hazy. Also, that it was eye clean and even under magnification, the inclusions were hard to spot; its all light in color.

The SA has been amazing, making it feel like i'm shopping in person, even though I'm doing everything online.

Here are the pictures that the SA sent with the diamonds side by side.

That would be Becca’s hand - she is amazing! However, all of Whiteflash’s associates are so very friendly and helpful! Glad you chose the 1.85 - I think it will be beautiful. Please come back with pictures for us when completed!!

Yay! Fantastic choice! What setting will you choose?

I'm still pondering on the types of prongs. https://www.whiteflash.com/jewelry-education/the-ultimate-guide-to-prong-settings/

Are there any durability or security concerns if I go with a petite prong over the regular-sized counterpart?

Is the petite tab closest to Tiffany's prongs?

I going with a 6-prong Vatche U-113 in a high setting.

I have petite round pprongs from WF and have never had a problem. I think the petite tab prongs or even the standard tabs are closest to Tiffany.

I always prefer claw prongs, just because of the look. And I'd always go for the smallest, yet safe size, so I'd go petite claw.
