What a fantastic surprise it was to find these this morning. I''d have to say any of the first 4.

They''re all stunning--your photographer did a very good job. The one that I think is best for thank yous is #3. My favorite otherwise is the one with the gasoline tank.

Wowzers!!! Stunning!!!!!!!!!! I can''t wait to see the rest!!! I think the last one for the TY cards would be awesome!

Thank you SO MUCH for all your kind comments! I am so relieved that if worst comes to worst we have at least a handful of nice photos. I can''t wait to see the shots from our reception as well.

So far the front runners for a thank you card are #3 (running), "last one" (on the rocks from a distance), and #6 (up close on the dock). Ideally I would do a flat card with one on the front (a more artistic one I think) and then a smaller image (#6 I think) on the back next to a blank space where we could write our note.

Congratulations, Claritek! Your pics are just STUNNING and I''m in love with the running shot!

These are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You look freakin'' gorgeous! I can''t wait to see more!

Congratulations!

What a pretty bride

Of those in the final running, I think I like 6 best. But, it is way hard to decide because they are all so great!

5... I think. I've lost count.

ETA: Ahhh the one I ruined with closed eyes. I still like it though.
I like this! It looks as though you were leaning in for a kiss. You can't beat the scenery, and both of you are adorable and so obviously happy.

Awesome pictures! I think my personal fave is the last one you posted! It has a very romantic, love of a lifetime feel to it! Congrats on the wedding! You are a beautiful bride!

You look beautiful in your pictures! As for which one to use... I actually like the last one you posted the best.

Congratulations MRS. Claritek! They are all such lovely pics I can''t choose! You made a beautiful bride

But I think my favorites overall are 1 and the very last one on the rocks. You guys look so great, and you are so pretty! Oh, I also like the one where you''re running... the dress turned out GREAT in that.

Great photos!!

Now that I finally have a moment I wanted to share some of the highlights and such of the wedding day.

As some of you may remember I panicked about the weather for a solid week and a half before the wedding. As of Friday they were showing a 90% chance of thundershowers during our reception. At least at this point I knew we would get nice photos outside somewhere. Oddly, despite the 80-90% chance of showers it never rained during one of wedding events. All that worry for nothing.

I only got 5 hours of sleep the night before the wedding. I had about 2 hours of solitude during which I watched Knocked Up on demand before everyone woke up. Little did I know DH was awake at that time as well because his silly silly cousin had overdone it the night before at the RD and was sleeping with his head in a toilet. DH was worried about him so he sat in the bathroom with him. This was all after the cousin had THROWN UP on DH while he was sleeping at 230 am.

We spent a few hours at the salon in the morning getting our hair done. From there I went to my MOHs'' house and put together the center pieces with one of the BMs. We drove them over to the venue with instructions for assembly. It was then I was informed about the table arrangement for the dinner since we were going to be indoors. I think the 10 most stressful minutes of the whole day happened then because I had to make a whole new seating chart. I received no less than 3 phone calls in that 10 min span. I feel bad for anyone who tried to talk to me then. The BM who was with me told me she just tried to keep quiet for fear I would explode. When we left the venue I had 30 minutes to get back to my MOHs'' house, put on my dress and accessories, and finish my make up before the limo turned up.

The ride over to the church was really fun. At this point the sun was out a little and it was so much fun to just have a few minutes to reflect on the day. My BMs looks gorgeous in all the different shades of blue! I called DH to find out where he was and he was running late as were my parents so when we got to the church we just had the limo driver bring us over to the quadrangle of my alma mater to take bridal party pictures. The quad is lined with double rows of trees and lovely old stone buildings. We did a bunch of walking shots and during one of the shoots I hear "riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiipppp" and feel a tug. One of my BMs had stepped on and totally ripped up my silk organza train. I barely flinched. What was I going to do? Yell at her? Nah. I was zen at this point. She was horrified but it was mostly fixed when we got back to the limo and trimmed off the trailing threads. Thankfully my dress was two layers and she stepped on the bottom one. You could hardly tell.

Lowest point of the day was when I realized I had forgotten DH''s wedding band. I was sobbing, doubled over in total disbelief. FIL ran over to us and offered us his. At least we got to use something meaningful. His parents will have been married for 26 years in 2 days.

Ceremony was lovely and touching. I did my best not to cry. My dad could hardly look me in the eye for fear of breaking down. The night before at the RD he totally lost it after everyone left. He was a little drunk and just couldn''t stop crying. I felt so bad for him. DH managed to not cry until we went around and offered our guests the sign of the peace. I guess when he got to his parents he cracked.

After the ceremony we went off with the limo and photog to take pictures alone. Those are the ones I posted earlier in this thread. We were dropped off down on that dock and ended up walking up the hill from the waterfront to our venue in Newport. It was so much fun walking through the town in our wedding gear! We got many rounds of applause and some people even wanted to buy us a drink at this outdoor bar! I love love LOVE Newport so much. I felt bad for our photographer because he had to carry our emergency bag (the one that DIDNT have DH''s ring in it...

) and my stash of umbrellas in case it rained since the limo left us downtown. Little did he know he would be doubling as a pack mule that day!

By the time we got to the reception the booze was flowing and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. We did some group bridal party shots outside and then did a whole big group shot of all 35 guests. The room we got to use was so neat. Exposed brick and wooden beams with big windows.

The food was amazing. I had never eaten at this restaurant before and I was just blown away. We offered a 4 course menu + wedding cake. Everyone had 2 choices for the first 3 courses and then 3 choices for the entree. I ate everything put in front of me and felt so uncomfortable in my fitted dress by the end of the night. We were scheduled to end at 9 but our party didn''t end until 10!

After the wedding I changed into my Nicole Miller dress and we made our way to a local Irish pub. Its the favored watering hole for my MOHs and me when I am in town. DH and I stayed for about half an hour but since we were both so incredibly tired we went back to our gorgeous hotel room. When we woke up the next morning and sat up in bed, we could see the harbor and downtown Newport! I will never forget that view!

Well if you''re still reading at this point you must have some free time on your hands! I''ve never been less than verbose so I''m sorry for the rambling. I just figured that if I didn''t share these details now I probably would never get around to putting them out there.

And thank you all again for the comments! I am so antsy to see the whole collection of our wedding day. I am dying to show you the details (most of which I forgot to ask him to take) and the venue.

your photos are gorgeous, you can really tell how happy you both are. Also, thanks for sharing your story! It made me laugh thinking of you scarfing your face until your dress didin''t fit! good thing you had a dress to change into! BRAVO!

Your pictures are gorgeous! I love your dress and your hair! Congratulations - and I do love the running pic the best.

What a gorgeous couple!!!! Looks like you had a stunning wedding day. Can''t wait to see the rest.

I LOVE that last one on the rocks, but I see it as more of a framed portrait. For thank yous, I think I like the one with you two embracing and the water and boats in the background. I just realized I was in Newport on the evening of your wedding! (We ate at the Red Parrot). It was a very pretty day despite the overcast skies. Congratulations!

Your pictures turned out beautiful! You and your husband make such a lovely couple! You two look like you were made for each other! You were a gorgeous bride!

I had a feeling that the meal might be the end of me so I made sure that my second dress was something that didn''t have a fitted look. It was more baby doll so it was very effective at hiding my food baby.

Small world! We weren''t far from the Red Parrot when we were taking those downtown shots. They were taken on Bannister''s Wharf (where the Black Pearl and the Clarke Cooke House are). I HIGHLY recommend getting a nice latte or espresso next time you are down there from the Coffee Grinder.

Gorgeous! I love the running one.
