Super dirty sapphire, spinel bypass ring taken on a very cloudy day. Sapphire is AGL heat only and spinel is natural (AIGS). Both stones are a bit over 2 carats each. Spinel and sapphire are Tanzanian.

It shipped!!! My engagement ring got shipped today. A gorgeous mint/pale teal Montana sapphire from Earth's Treasury and an equally gorgeous semi-custom platinum setting from BGD! I'm so excited and even my pragmatic soon to be fiance is impressed.

I REALLY want a Montana Sapphire!

If you don't mind smaller stones in not as popular/top colors, Earth's Treasury can have some awesome prices. They are GORGEOUSLY cut. I can even see H&A derived patterns in the stone without my loupe. And it sparkles like crazy, even to the point of flashing the occasional dispersion rainbow! (Due to the light color. Darker tones won't do this I suspect.)

I’m afraid, you are going to be disappointed about it, but I almost never wear the ring, only the band. I don’t know why, but it’s just nit my style at this phase of my life. Maybe later. I will never part with it.

You know I am a gemstone addict when I sit through a love story (which I don’t care for), just for the gems. Lol! Michelle Yeoh’s performance was great though, and she has awesome taste!!

That film had some amazing jewelry. Loved her jade pieces too.

Blue: 1.4 carat with diamonds, 14k white gold
Purple: 0.9 carat flanked by pink round sapphires, 14k rose gold
Yellow: 2.08 carat with diamonds, 14k yellow gold

My medium toned 2.8 ct emerald in the hot summer sun. Don’t mind the straggling hair!! Sorry for the smudges on the table. I generally don’t clean my emeralds with soap and more rarely than my sparkly gems.
