That setting is divineReset of my MIL’s sapphire from her wedding in the late 1940’s. Center stone is 4.76 carats with .66 tcw pears in platinum setting by Debebian’s in LA.

After thinking about it for a month, I finally pulled the trigger on this beautiful 4.2 carat morganite in rose gold. I can’t get a picture that does this ring justice.

@missy - thanks but it’s not worth it. It will be put back in the gem jar. I can’t force myself to like certain gems I own, which is a good lesson that you should always buy what you love, not just what you can afford, but feel meh about.
Bought some medium/light aquamarine rough from TMS Gems (San Diego) and had it cut by a lapidary I met recently that did a precision cut. This is a 9 mm Asscher shape in a platinum Art Deco setting by Debebian's in LA. Changes color in different lights and has so much movement and brilliance.

that is lovelly and waaaay too pretty to not be wornI had this glowy minty tourmaline in the bank for eons. I placed it on top of a setting that has raspberry rhodolites. Too bad it doesn’t fit because I love the color combo.

Here’s an Afghan tourmaline with similar proportions, albeit a bit longer sitting on top of the setting. I would like to set this one at some point as well.
