Colored Stone E-rings/Eyecandy

I just got engaged!!! I''ve lurked around these forums for a while, since I love jewelry, but now I actually have something to post. I had my choice between some lighter sapphires but I actually was attracted to the dark ones. I love the way the flecks of blue sparkle from the darkness.

Hey everyone, I''m new here and decided to start off with a ring photo.
It''s a little something I put together for my wife. I personally cut the center stone. Any guesses on what variety of gem it is?

22 carat prehnite w/diamonds 18K y/g

Thought I would share some pics of two of my favourite rings. One of them was a Christmas gift from my hubby and the other... well a pre-Christmas gift that same week

Anyway, it''s a long story. So, #1 is the pre-Christmas gift-a smoky quartz in yellow gold, the stone is around 5ct if I remember correctly. Not the best pic unfortunately and obviously the quartz needs some cleaning...

You can still see the colour transition I think.

And a side view...

#2-the actual Christmas gift: a sapphire in white gold, .80ct.

Here the colour is closer to what the sapphire looks like IRL.

Beautiful collection AdiS!

Thank you! I really love them and although I have some other coloured stone rings these two are my prefered right hand rings. I have a hard time whenever I try to decide which one to wear today

Hi I am new here. This is a ring I gave my wife when we first met, I call it the, "Glad to know You" ring! Tanzanite (I cut) & Red Spinel in 18kt.

Here is my 1 year wedding anniversary gift from my hubby- 3 stone aquamarine with teeny tiny diamonds

When my son was born 7 years ago, my husband bought me this tanzanite ring. When my daughter was born last year, he bought me a diamond 3 stone enhancer that fits quite well under the tanzanite ring. I normally don''t like stacking rings, but these fit so well together that it works!

My first guess is a green peridot, but that would be too easy. My only other thought is apatite, but I think it''s hardness is only 4-5 so it wouldn''t be durable enough for a ring.

It looks kind of like a Mali garnet.

You got it! It''s a chrysoberyl. It''s not green though, but a greenish-Yellow. I had to use kind of strange lighting to show the arrows... I guess that made it look greenish.
