I lied. One more!

Not sure if this next item belongs in this thread. It is a locket with a tiny blue sapphire in the middle. It was custom made by Green Lake jewelry Works.

My very modest collection of colored stones:

Sapphire stacking rings. I got the darker stone as a finished product ring; I bought the ceylon sapphire at a gem show and had my local jeweler match the setting. I want to add a tanzanite next... I should take a straight-on hand shot, it was really tricky balancing everything on my jewelry tree!

Lapis Elsa Peretti Bean pendant. The jade has been handed down mother-to-daughter since my great-grandmother.

And the rosary necklace beads are sapphires.

I have two rings to add to this thread. I have had my emerald for many years and recently found a huge chip on the side. My insurance company authorized the purchase of a new stone and I had it set in a split shank setting. It's approximately .50 ct. The diamonds are .53 ctw. I love the green glow of this stone

This is my Ceylon sapphire set in a HOF semimount, which came from a reset of my engagement ring. It is also a stone I have had for 20+years and needed some recutting and polishing. It was 1.73ct and after recutting is 1.69 ct. I think that is pretty good!! The diamonds are 20 points each. Enjoy the pics...

Wow, all the gorgeous sapphires, and bling!!

My latest stone is one of the most difficult stones to photograph, my 3.67 Nigerian pink tourmaline with lavender flashes. It's more vivid and more pink in color than the photo, and it refuses to focus!!
29.gif
It's a very pure bubblegum pink. It reminds me of Bonnie Bell lipsmaker lipstick.

Thanks D&T,
No I didn't start a thread on it. Here are two colors I find delicious next to each other. My 6 carat copper bearing violet tourmaline next to the new pink 3.7 carat pink tourmaline. Diffused sunlight. I may start a thread on these two stones together in various lighting.

Very pretty freke!

2+ carat chrysoberyl from Gilpin County, Colorado.
The quick story: we were looking for a green stone hard enough for everyday wear (this is my wedding ring). Emerald too brittle, green sapphire hard to find and not the color range we were looking for, tourmaline marginal hardness. Fell in love with this chyrsoberyl. Now that we know each other better, I''m amazed at the large difference in the stone''s color between incandescent light (almost yellow) and natural light (light seafoam green).

Deia - your ring is amazing! Would you mind sharing details on the setting (jeweler, band with, setting, etc.) with me? I am looking for an e-ring almost exactly like that.. thanks!
