Colored Stone E-rings/Eyecandy

Imdoubler! That is gorgeous. I have a huge green sapphire. Never thought about setting it. You might have changed my mind!!
 
Im not sure how old this ring is. I'm guessing 40s or 50s, but my mom bought it 30 yrs ago in an estate sale. It's a 13 ct aqua in 18k white gold with diamonds in an Art Deco inspired setting. I don't think it's as old as the 20s deco period though. Any clues? I took it out of the bank vault to take some pics, as the step cut remind me of a hall of mirrors.

My sphalerite close up. I forget the carat weight, but it's around 8mm in size. Wish it was hard and durable enough to set, but the dispersion!!!

My ring with a padparacha from Gary, top, in the office. Bottom - looking at the ring I felt I needed to praise the fates :). Hence, padparacha in bar lights. (I think I ended up with mineral water anyhow).

My latest coloured purchases for 2017 for Pricescope eye candy enjoyment.

13 carat Burmese ruby cabochon set in a total of 4.5 carats of pear shaped diamonds.

6.7 carat unheated emerald cut yellow Sri Lankan sapphire flanked with two half carat emerald cut diamonds.

Thank you, Minous! Padparacha was clearly inspired by the most beautiful padparacha stones that PS-ers were posting. I doubt I would be ever able to purchase it if I did not see others' first.

As to spinel, I think what finally convinced me to purchase it was a photo of "Ferrari red" stone in "Terra spinel".

Lol thanks, Ark. I keep looking at my nails too. Love them gelish manicures, but not as much as CS.

I am new to pricescope and have just bought my first gemstone ring. Its a tanzanite from Top Tanzanite New York. The jeweller who set it for me banged it up a bit, got some scratches :( But here it is anyway . Hope youring.jpg like it!
