colored stone vendors?

Are there reputable internet vendors for colored stones? Where does one go to research them?
Maybe that will be my next project....I love diamonds, but I also like things unique and different.........................

I have bought a bunch from him and have always been happy with them.
He is a nice guy too.

I have bought from Cherry - they are wonderful and have fair prices for high end material.
