Colour combo for my chrysoberyl

I doubt they will be lost next to your Chrysoberyl. I wouldn't be surprised if in certain lighting, ones eye would be drawn away from the Chrysoberyl and fix themselves upon the Demantoids. They will pair up nicely, better than Tsavorite imo. They are the least durable of the Garnet family if I'm not mistaken.

What I meant was that the demantoids are perhaps just a little too close to the chryso in colour, and my concern would that the dynamics of colour might be lost. Anyway, I am very grateful to you guys for all your input - so many things to consider: Tone, saturation, durability, and on top of that, personal taste.

And all this because I started out wanting something that leapt off my hand, like a burst of yellow green radiance: http://thumbs.dreamstime.com/thumblarge_491/1270027513NNi41V.jpg

My final suggestion is Vanadium Chrysoberyl. But I dont see a lot of it. Let alone matching pairs.

Vanadium Chrysoberyl is typically a pale minty green so would not be a good match for tone/saturation in my opinion.

I have to say that it's going to be a real challenge to find something that will match a chryso. More so because chryso's hold their own and are typically THE main focal point. Once you add in side stones it becomes a competition that screams "look at me" and the balance may be thrown off.

If your heart is set on having side stones then I'd look at opposite ends of the colour wheel like blue or purple. In my opinion having a yellow green with greens doesn't work BUT I'm not the one who's going to wear it and it's completely personal preference!

I want to share with you my own funfair ring ............ this is one of the very very few multi stone rings I possess. When I bought it I told everybody it was a silver ring until my friend pointed out to me that it was in fact white gold!!!!! It doesn't matter what the metal is, this is a daytime ring only and for a dress down day!
