Considering something pink. Tourmaline? Topaz? Garnet? Etc

And Mjay please share the vendors for these lovelies :)

The tourmaline is from earths treasury. The sapphire was cut by Victoria Raynaud. For some reason I had thought Victoria was in the US but she is actually In France so that means import duties. I’m currently looking it up and my head is spinning. I typically only purchase in the states.

No import duties/taxes to the US on loose stones, my friend!! :)

Good to know! I know that is true for loose diamonds but didn't realize was also true for gemstones.

Not sure why that is, since we do have import duties on finished jewelry. But it works for me!!

Natural pink topaz will cost more than a pink sapphire of the same size, and pink topaz is harder to find than pink sapphire. The sample on the left is a 1.8ct orange-pink topaz from Pakistan, and the sample on the right is a 2.66ct pink topaz from Brazil.

Drooling over these!!

I have also been in a very PINK mood lately and decided to finally reset my morganite. It is a very pale purple/pink, and I am (also finally) working with David Klass for an all-pink halo.

I'm so excited for you and your beautiful stones, and I can't wait to see the final pieces!

Sounds amazing! I can’t wait to see it!

The tourmaline came!!!! I played with it for a few minutes and then packaged it back up. I feel weird wrapping it up for Christmas now that I’ve seen it. I’m sure my kids will be just as excited to see me open my necklace and boots so I’ll probably just skip the theatrics. Anyways, I LOVE it! it’s a beautiful bubblegum pink. I don’t have any set plans for it but right now I’m leaning towards a chunky rose gold gypsy ring. My pictures don’t capture it well (it’s much prettier irl) but here they are! Also my hands look gross because it’s freezing outside. CA freezing so like 50 degrees 401AA072-A5DE-44C8-878F-1A87E53E7363.jpeg
