TMI, but this is hilarious!

I thought WF only shipped Hold for Pick-up at a FedEx station. Are you sure it''s supposed to be coming to your house?
Yes, I was supposed to sign for it-- which is why the tying a rope to the door wouldnt have worked... I mean, the front porch is right next to the bathroom window for that matter..

But yeah, anyway, I''m in Bum-f''ed backwards Iowa... the closest Fed-ex is 30 miles. I mean I live in a good sized city but, alas, this town has always been backwards. Anyway, they were going to allow me to sign at the door because of the pick up stations distance from me.

It was sooooooooo hard for me to find a diamond I really liked. I hope this isnt lost.

That''s the way it worked for me. FedEx even left a message on my answering machine that I had a package waiting for pick-up. Like I wasn''t already on the road to their front door!

Call your local FedEx office!!!
I dont even know where the local FedEx is?!! They have some subsidiary shipping places but I dont think the trucks come from there... they are more for shipping stuff out for either UPS or FedEx....

I mean, I already called the main Fed Ex number... they didnt have any information other than they had it yesterday...

I find this really interesting, since my closest pick up station is half an hour away, and I specifically asked if they could please deliver it to my home and was told sorry, but no.

Maybe it was my manly voice that won them over... at least you have yours

But yeah, pick up was discussed, but after my address was researched, I guess, it was ruled out.

,

I just realized silk boxers are worn by a man....the strip thing works for women with FedEX delivery MEN...I had no idea Twinstealth worn boxers instead of ...well the other unmentionables worn by the female persuasion. I am not sure if these rules can work for all sexes. Therefore I take no responsibility...I suppose your driver could be a female...

Did I miss something, I dont' recall the post mentioning a tracking number. Call WF and get that. The tracking number is everything! It is your friend! It is your lifeline.....

You can also call your 1800 go fedex number and ask for the local stations number. You CAN then speak to them directly. You may get a reply such as..."Yes Mr Boxer ...your package is here and has been waiting for you since noon..." Happens all the time with me too.

Contrary to the slogan..."They don't run the tightest ship..."

Oh, and confirm the shipping address...in it's entirety. Including zip...floors...etc.

And please...post the second it arrives...I am stuck here....waiting.

DKS

...let me also restate, I really dont know where the closest station is to me. I think she said something like its over 30 miles or so away. ***BREAKING NEWS*** Vera called and they found the package... its on its merry way to me once again.

I''m pooping BEFORE FED-EX hours this time!

I''m so late to this thread; missed the initial *urgency*, but thanks for the giggle!

Hope your FedEx delivery is mere seconds away!!

Soooooo... after much gastro-intestinal strife, my package arrived this morning!

I had to make up even more stories to throw H-Bear (Heather) off of my trail, and man it wasnt easy. I didnt realize just how much time we spent together! I know one thing-- she wont ever have to worry about my fidelity... I''m a terrible liar! I''m still not sure if I am out of the woods.

And so the full scoop on the package: It was lost in the couriers truck and found at the very end of the day! Vera sent his "sincerest apologies"! LOL... I was so happy I couldnt complain
1.gif
I told her to send my sincerest thank you for finding the thing... I had been looking for a replacement at whitflash, and expecting the worst. When you finally find that "one" special diamond after two months of searching-- the last thing you want to have to do is try to find one a replacement!

And hey, it WAS a female FED-EX''er who delivered... and she caught me at the *peak* of my "morning"... so apparently it IS a little different for us guys. Thankfully though, she mustve had some womens intuition or something cuz she tossed the package in the screen door and was off like a shot.

Finally... pics... let me get on it.

LOL this thread is super funny/cute!! I''g glad they finally found the diamond, you were handling it pretty well though compared to how I would have been!! Can''t wait for pics

Wow, I just realized I have really hairy knuckles? Good thing its not going on MY finger.

I''m going to have to post a thank you thread to all the folks at whiteflash. They were by far the most GENUINELY nice people in the diamond business that I have had the pleasure of dealing with.

beautiful diamond. i may have missed it but how are you having it set?

Congratulations on your gorgeous diamond! Thanks for the giggle too!

While shopping the B&M''s Heather was most partial to the simple 4 prong with a thin band.
White Gold. The store clerk called it a "classic tiffany setting"? IDK if thats what they are recognized as or if he was just throwing a reputable name out to make something rather simple seem fancy?

LOL... anyway, that is what she wanted so I guess I will go back there and have them set this. Any horror stories on Americus Diamond craftmanship?

Looking at the stuff whiteflash has makes me want to set it in someting really nice in another year or so for the wedding.
