For Sale CvB "Lyre" Custom Platinum French Cut Diamonds Setting, Semi-Mount

For folks asking...JUST finding these pics on my PS feed. Here is the Lyre Setting with the 1.91 I, VS1, OEC AND a precious c. 1930 original platinum diamond WB from a local estate store in Ann Arbor, called "Arcadia."

OEC.5.jpg

SEE SOME OF THE GAPS between the stone & the setting with the 1.91, which is 7.93 x 7.91 x 5.23 (??). Lyre Setting definitely needs a minimum of an 8 mm stone.

A few more photos. Gosh, how I wish this had worked for me :cry2:

Photo to the left is the Lyre Setting, a CvB Glamour Shot with the original 2.43 OEC (also for sale).
Photo to the right is the day I got the CvB Lyre with the 2.43 OEC...see the differences the IMMEDIATE SETTING and the COLORS in the environment make regarding diamond tint and color!

And I believe the pic to the RIGHT is the Lyre shown with my 1.25 original vintage eternity band, also on consignment with Erica @ LAD. The 1.25 Eternity Band is gorgeous!!

You have great taste, and that Ben Moses ring is just stunning!

@pearaffair Really underestimated how size-sensitive and self-conscious I am about lots of bling.

i'm sorry it's been such a hassle for you. at the end of the day it's just "stuff" and it has to work for your life....a ring can be beautifully made and look fantastic on and still not work out.

your eternity band is a showstopper on its own. maybe the emotional tie to it makes it hard to find a solitaire that can really live up? i think it would look great as an e-ring paired with a plain thin band if you wanted to take a break from all this.

Thank you so much! You are so kind! I love all the stuff but as you said earlier, why have it just sit? Makes no sense to me. We are overall people of simple means, ergot 1-2 "SPECIAL" rings. It bothers me to have thousands of dollars in jewelry & diamonds sit around...It feels wasteful to me...just my humble opinion! Thank you!

THIS is some very insightful, thoughtful and wise information. THANK YOU! Very true.

Your band is very beautiful! Honestly, I do like wide diamond bands as stand-alone rings. I think it is difficult to get a solitaire the right size to wear with a wide band since the band has so much presence on it's own.

Speaking of the Casa, I had the chance to meet Caysie in Las Vegas a couple of times and had the chance to try on a Casa with a stone close to the same size as yours. And you know what? It was too big for me, too! So I decided I couldn't set my 2.3 ct AVR in it (or any halo, probably). That opportunity saved me some money because I might have set it in that setting had I not tried it on! Then I did set my smaller 2.1 ct O AVR in a Casa thinking I would sell it, but I really love it in that setting!

So, as I probably said before, you aren't alone because it's taken many of us multiple tries to get our wedding sets right. And that is the reason my first AVR is still in a plain solitaire setting after 5 years...I am not 100% sure what I want, and I am NOT going to do multiple resets!!!!

This is good information to have! Thank you! I am not super-familiar with jewelry and rings...so I've made a few colossal mistakes. Not sure what I was thinking when I purchased that pre-loved Casablanca for a 2.43 stone. Oh well...it's okay.

Thanks for posting! I always hoped to meet Caysie one day because I always liked her a lot. I feel badly about things kinda going south...but it's all good!

PRIE REDUCED...again to $1550.00

Bored, so I thought I'd reduce the price of this stuff once again! Everything I'm selling is listed on Diamond Bistro, Loupe Troop. Currently on consignment with Erica @ Love Affair Diamonds!

Not sure how much lower I can go with this stuff sad :((

Thanks for looking everyone!

I love this and wish it had been in the market only a couple months earlier because it’s close enough to my size and my new stone would have fit in it perfectly. That said I might know a music loving person who might be interested for an engagement ring. Is it still available? Does it show signs of wear at all?

Hi there and thank you for your interest in my listing! I also appreciate your kind comments...thank you! I am so happy this lovely setting caught your eye! I've had many inquiries about the setting but no takers, to date. I really cannot wait for this setting to find a loving new home!

Yes, the setting is still available and although I've gone about as low as I think I can go on the price, there is still a wee-bit of wiggle-room there, too! The ring/setting is sizable and it shows zero signs of wear...none. I only had the setting about 10 months and Erica Derout @ Love Affair Diamonds has it now on consignment.

As with most of her consignments, Erica had the ring "serviced" and checked. This means the prongs were checked for integrity and/or repair (if required...the prongs are fine with this setting). Also, Erica had the ring re-polished and shined, so it is back to its original, unused pristine condition!

Because the ring didn't quite work for me, it was rarely, if ever worn. So, all it needed was a shine up with a few minor surface scratches removed. The setting shows zero wear 'n tear.

It really is a beautiful ring and the price is generous. I think most people who know Caysie's work recognize I paid over double the asking price for this unique, one-of-a-kind setting.

There are many more photos with Erica @ LAD per below:

Thanks again for inquiring!
