Hello everyone, hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Just popping in to say as of this am I am down 3lbs! Not bad for just having starting the exercise & smart eating last Wed/Thursday....

We have snow here on Long Island so I went back to bed instead of to the gym, bad jenn!

I took everyone''s advice and instead of mindless eating I cleaned like crazy yesterday and the bathroom and bedroom look as good as I''ve ever seen them. Thanks for the inspiration!

Im doing 30min of cardio and then pilates today. it''s snowing like crazy here so I wont be leaving the house much today

I lost my inspiration after getting a speeding ticket a few minutes ago... dammit!!! What really sucks is that this big black SUV was totally tailgaiting me so I only sped up so that I could get into the right lane and out of his way ~ so that''s when the SUV turned his lights on to pull me over, so turns out the tailgaiting SUV was a cop... in my book that''s a form of entrapment but I doubt the court would agree with me.... I''m totally pissed & bummed out about this. I''ve had tickets before that I totally deserved, but not this one... Dammit!!

I know I should go to the gym and use my anger but I feel totally screwed here and don''t want to leave the house now... And I tend to speed when I''m mad... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

I''ll get back on it tomorrow, after I''ve had time to pout, bitch and moan... I promise!!!

Well, I had a semi successful weekend. Usually I use weekends for an all-out, three day binge fest. This weekend I was only bad on two days, and even at that I was *moderately reasonable*. So I am down 2 pounds since we started

Teebee: Jeez. That does sound like entrapment. Especially if he was tailgating you. That is completely wrong. By the way, since when do undercover police cars come in SUV''s??? That is so not the case in Quebec. And did he have his radar on you?

He wasn''t unmarked really...

He was plainly marked on the sides of the vehicle as police (which of course I couldn''t see since he was directly behind me) but instead of lights on the top of the vehicle they were all up in the grill. So I just thought some big a**hole was riding my bumper... And no, he didn''t use radar (couldn''t use radar since it doesn''t work when two vehicles are both moving and both going same direction) so he said he "paced" me, meaning he supposedly followed me at my same speed and looked at his spedometer to gage how fast I was going. He said I got up to 55 in a 40 and wrote the ticket for 50 in a 40 (as a favor so it won''t count against my insurance) but when he turned his lights on I looked down and I was doing 47 so... no way. I dunno... I''ve never ever been tempted to fight a ticket before in my life, and I''ve had plenty of tickets, but this is just wrong...

I have 2 good friends and 1 exboyfriend who are cops and I''m always incredibly respectful of their jobs and usually giving cops the benefit of the doubt in most situations so I really don''t think I''m overreacting here... it just stinks!!!

My fiance''s got a friend that is an assistant DA, I may see if he will call to see if I would stand half a chance fighting it... Problem is if I lose then I have to pay court costs in addition to the fine so I just don''t know if it would be worth it or not but without having radar evidence... then again, I was alone so I don''t have anyone to corroborate that he was tailgating me....

Good job on the 3 & 2 pounds fountainfairfax and alley!!

Have not gone to the gym yet

However, at the end of last week and over the weekend, I had a nasty virus or flu or something. Bad enough that I slept on the floor outside of the bathroom for one of the nights. BUT, I lost like 7 or 8 pounds. Today was the first day I''ve eaten normally, and only about 2 pounds of water weight have come back.

Hopefully I will hit the gym tomorrow or Wednesday and be able to keep off a couple of the pounds that I lost

Buena-

Hope you''re feeling better, I''ve slept on the bathroom floor way too many times and it SUCKS!!!!

Weight loss after something like that is more than well deserved but I really think you need to take care of yourself with a little "bling" :)

I had the day off and spent it running errands for the wedding... I was on the move all day compared to my sitting at my desk for 7 hours, so i think that should count for a little something maybe?

Teebee - As far as the ticket things goes, i say try to fit it. You never know what will happen. My last ticket was for running a red light. The light is really hard to see and everyone knows about etc, etc... ANYWAYS... I went to court to fight about how hard it is to see the light. The police officer showed up only 5 minutes before i was up, was totally shocked that i had appeared to fight it and couldnt accurately tell the judge why she had given me the ticket (she switched our positions). The judge asked her if she could tell him with 100% confindence the situtation, she couldnt and he dismissed the case!

So you never know, but i totally understand not wanting to pay court costs.

Teebee: Jeez. I would be really mad. It''s the same in Quebec about fighting a ticket, if you lose you have to pay a lot more. My boyfriend got a radar speeding ticket and he contested it. Instead of $160 they dropped it to $35. The other guy (lawyer? Prosecutor?) just said. "Lets drop it down to $35 is that good with you?" And my boyfriend said yes. End of story. Call and see what you can do. If nothing..then take a deep breath, call him a jerk and put it out of your mind. It wasn''t your fault, so you can''t help it if some guy decided to trap you!
