David Klass 10K vs 14K yellow gold?

Snobbery aside, the back of the band of my 18kt rings are all worse for wear (fine scratches and dents) whereas a 9ct signet ring, Antique, looks 10 times fresher and newer - still!

Indeed - my wedding bands are 14k, but I also wear a 18k RH band. I always have a twinge of pain when I bang it into something. My comfort is that its been around for over a centuary, so I’m not the first to contribute to the patina. But oh that 18k color...
