I am not the best at this either BUT!!! It is not ANYBODY''s birthday! I am not saying that your brother is not important, but compared to a husband/wife/fiance(e)/BF/GF ...
I totally agree. I don''t think I could ever forget my BF''s birthday...aside from the fact that it''s on Boxing Day (Dec. 26th)!

I think rob''s ''payback plan'' is brilliant (and hilarious)!!!

Hahaha.

First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Secondly, I usually don''t remember what day it is until I''ve been up for a few hours, but you better hear from him soon!

Maybe he''s trying to throw you off and has something planned?

Definitely don''t remind him. If he forgets all day, then you really have leverage to make him pay tomorrow!

YUP - I agree!!

oh and.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Lol...my boyfriend has the attention span of a squirrle (his words, not mine!), but he managed to remember my birthday (most impressive).

Have a wonderful birthday, and let us know how you punished your SO. This should definitely be worth grabbing some popcorn for!

Happy birthday!!!

Any updates?

Aww .. I hope he was just going to surprise you!

Now I just have to figure out how
31.gif
(ideas ?)

Easy:

Tomorrow you will tell him: ''Honey - I have a task for you today! Write me a list of five things that you can do for me/get me to make up for forgetting about my birthday yesterday. One of them will be the gift I should have gotten anyway and the four other ones will be educational in purpose - teaching you not to forget about my birthday!''

R.

Yep, this is the winner! And I agree-I may not remember everyone else''s birthdays, but I would never forget my fiance''s! He has to pay big time!

Love it!

My husband and I were just discussing remembering dates this morning. We both agreed that it''s never that we forget when the day is, we just forget that that when is now. So it''s not like he ever ''forgets'' that our dating anniversary is the 21st, he just forgets that today is the 21st.

I think that''s pretty forgivable

So Bia, even if he forgets that your birthday is today, know that he didn''t forget when your birthday is, he just didn''t realize that today is January 14th.

Happy Birthday, Bia!

I hope this turns into something truly wonderful, a la 16 Candles! (But, I am so sorry that this happened).

Hope you have a WONDERFUL day!

Should I make him pay????

He left this morning early, and as he usually does, kissed me and said ''Have a good day baby, I love you.'' Only today, he didn''t wish me a Happy Birthday. Obviously he forgot it even WAS my B-day. I haven''t heard from him yet (waiting for HIM TO CALL ME).

So what should I do? Let him off the hook or MAKE HIM SUFFER???
31.gif
29.gif
uh oh. I would tell him, did you forget today is someone''s birthday?
emsmilep.gif

Hey Bia ... update???
35.gif

Happy birthday Bia!!

If he did forget, he''ll probably remember the second he looks at the date, or if he needs to write the date on one of his paper. I am totally not good with birthdays so I relate. If there isn''t a surprise in store (and don''t rule that out) I get the mental image of a totally crazed guy running through the mall panicking as his life ticks down trying to find the perfect present.

Have a good day regardless
35.gif

We have a winner!!! Musey, come on down!!!

HE PLAIN FORGOT
29.gif
Well not exactly like that...here's what happened (I know some of you are waiting to hear
3.gif
):

BF called me at around 4PM to say hi and let me know that he'd been so busy at work, he hadn't any time to call. He also informed me that he had a meeting at 6PM and might not be home until after 8PM
23.gif
29.gif
. I had completely forgotten that his department is being audited this month (he told me last week he might stay late this week, and at the time I didn't realize that the meeting could fall on any day--lucky me
14.gif
). But regardless, I stayed quiet and didn't mention anything about my b-day
20.gif
.

I know earlier I had told you all that I wasn't that upset, and in truth, I wasn't. Although, by this time I was a little sad
15.gif
. Told a friend of mine and he asked if he could take me out to dinner...but who wants to be invited to a pitty-party-dinner??? Anyway, I'll be seeing my friends this weekend for my official b-day dinner, so I declined.

Around 9PM BF comes home and finds me on the couch mindlessly watching a movie-on-demand. I must have been depressed b/c I rented a chick flick...which I don't normally like (Don't ever pay to see THE WOMEN...dumbest movie ever!). He kneels next to me and wants hugs and kisses. So I just sort of sit there and let him kiss me, without really kissing him back (do you guys ever do that???
27.gif
).

He notices I'm upset instantly and the convo goes like this:

Him: What's wrong babe?
>>ROB, I JUST HAD TO TAKE YOUR ADVICE (I just could not wait until today) BECAUSE BY NOW, I'LL ADMIT, I AM FUMING.
Me: Nothing baby. ::insert sweet smile:: Just sitting here thinking up a list in my head of 5 things you can do for me, to make it up to me, for forgetting my birthday...all day
Him: Babe, I won't forget your birthday >>more kisses
Me: I didn't say you will, I said you did!
>>He stood up and turned beet red.
Him: What?!!! ARE YOU JOKING...or are you SERIOUS?
Me: Not joking.
Him: I thought your birthday was tomorrow.
Me: No, W___ my b-day is the 14th, not the 15th!
Him: Baby, I thought today was the 13th!
Me: Well its not W___, today is the 14th, my birthday, and you're the only one who forgot >>Went for the jugular
Him: Babe, I'm so sorry. I didn't forget...I just didn't realize that the 14th was today
>>Followed by a million more apologies...yadda yadda yadda...
29.gif

So, I although I it probably wasn't a good idea to make him feel so bad, I couldn't help myself...I'm not that nice I guess??? I told him it made me sad that my b-day wasn't important enough for him to remember...and that I never forget his b-day (God forbid!) Yea, he felt reeeeaaaaallllly bad (good!) and I went to bed. He came in and cuddled and continued with the "I'm sorries"...and I fell asleep.

I'm not upset ...I know he would never forget my birthday because he didn't care--he is just clueless apparently! (I told you he was ADHD) But, I just had to teach him a lesson.

This morning I found a letter from him...it was really sweet and very apologetic. He's sorry, this I know. And, I think he got that it's not okay to forget the birthday of the person you plan to marry...
9.gif

Now, I can't wait to get home to see JUST HOW he plans to make it up to me
36.gif
11.gif

29.gif

To be continued...

Thanks for your help (and b-day wishes) everyone!!!

Aww Bia! I''m sorry he forgot. Gosh, he must feel like such an @$$!

Don''t feel bad about giving him a bit of crap. He made you feel bad, too. Just don''t hold a grudge, he obviously know your birthday, and like others have said, he simply didn''t realize that day matched up with the actual date.

Your FI!!! sounds like a great guy. Let him make it up to you, and then let it go.

...or forget his next birthday. Your choice.

I''m sorry it turned out that he was messed up! Good for you for telling him how it is! Hopefully you''ll be able to put this one down as your worst birthday ever, but move on and be able to laugh about it later. I agree with elle...let him make it up and then move on. You know how much he loves you.

I really hope you have a better day today!!! He''s got a lot of making up to do today!!!

Awwwwww Bia

7.gif
I''m so sorry the dummy forgot. That makes ME upset
29.gif
But, on the bright side of things.....he felt really bad about it and I''ll bet you he doesn''t forget anymore!!!!
31.gif
Let us know what happens tonight!

I knew it!

That conversation sounds almost exactly like my husband and I
3.gif
I''m a big guilt-giver (so mean, I know, but sometimes it''s gratifying when he really made me upset
11.gif
).

I''m anxious to hear how Mr. Bia''s gonna make it up to you. Sounds like he knows he owes you big time!
