Decision Time - Please help me pick between these two

OK, did lots of research and was able to find these two cushions within my budget:

I am going to have to agree that I would eliminate both. But the better of the two is the one on the right since it is a better color at least.

I would really encourage you to post your budget and let people here suggest other diamonds for you.

I like this one because thought its 1.4 it faces up like 7.1x 6.3 or so. compared to the first 1.5 you had thats like 6.3x6.5....but ignore me if she likes that crushed ice look.

I just love to watch those things go around, so many flashes love this new site

hi, i'm looking closely at the James Allen link you posted on the 1.41 and their seems to be a lot of black specs near the top of the diamond...do you see those?

Maybe we have been too nice to these diamonds in your last two thread, but not a single one of the ones you have pictures for have been good enough for PS standards.

I agree, that I didn't like the asets you got, but you have to keep in mind, with cushions, especially the "crushed ice" they typically don't look that good. But I still think you could find a better one. The one that you just commented on, yes those are black inclusions and personally, I wouldn't get a diamond that had anything on top of the table.

I would EITHER WAY call Jonathan at GOG and tell him your budget, and let him know you like the crushed ice look (if you do) and he will find you the best performing cushion!

Yep I see those but its vs2 so I bet its eye clean at normal not blown up size. I think its woth pulling with that one gypsy liked

I think it's the best you can do in this size range. Faces up real nice, tall crown with small table, bigger than that I in your OP, medium blue fluoro is cool.

Thats actually something a lot of us like, a lot. But you have to decide if you do.

Culets like that make me melt

That one is an antique style cushion. The ones that you were looking at were modern cushions.

I'll take a look and see if I see anything else. But those first two you posted aren't good enough to buy, in my opinion.

The culet is part of the appeal of some cushions and they are much less noticeable IRL. I am in LOVE with the K that Gypsy posted! I would absolutely put it on hold and request images, I bet that it will perform better than any of the others that have been suggested...of course you have to like that type of faceting.

OP I think it's important to remember too that a nice performing stone, even at a slightly smaller ct weight, will appear larger than either of your two original choices because they will be bright from edge to edge. I wouldn't get too caught up in the size difference but focus more on the stones performance. Cut is really the least understood of the 4 C's and yet the most important when it comes to the beauty of the stone. A well cut stone will get much more attention than a larger stone that looks blah! kwim?
