Diamond opinion

Honestly if you select a GIA XXX that scores well in the HCA it is likely better than 98% of diamonds and you will be happy. There are obviously some major constraints in your choice and I don’t think you should worry so much in that context about perfection IMO.

Bump

At the moment there is nothing new..
I will update when I receive an offer for a relevant stone.

hi guys!

I received 2 offers from another supplier, I attached the GIA certificates
what do you say?

Numbers on these last two look promising @diamond144 !

Thank you for your response

Is there a favorite of the two?

From the pictures I saw, the 0.72 stone looks more beautiful

What about the inclusions in each of them?

Anyway I will try to ask him if he has bigger stones in the same numbers.

PS - If the stones are displayed on the BN website, do you think he has the possibility to bring me any stone that is displayed there?

Your jeweler can source most stones from BN because they mostly don't own their stones (they aren't in house like whiteflash)

If so, that's good, I'll ask him if it's possible to request a specific stone from there..
I guess he will charge extra for it.
I would be happy to receive a recommendation from you on a good stone from BN.

**Anyway, I wanted to ask your opinion, what do you think about the 2 stones he offered me?
Which stone is better?
What about their HCA scores?
One stone is 0.9 and the other 1.7
One has more inclusions and the other less..
I did not see the location of the inclusions in the stone..
I would appreciate your professional opinion on which stone is better.

And please don't forget, if you see a good stone in BN please send me a link here so I can send it to him (2500-4000$)

Thank you very much everyone,
I really appreciate your help!

Thank you very much for the link to the stone!
Additional recommendations are welcome.

I would love to get an answer about the stones he offererd me.
which of the two is better.
Your answer is important to me because there is a situation where he won't be able to bring me the stone you recommended in the last link you sent.

Regarding the stones he offered me, which one is better of the two?

oh ok..
The question is if he can't bring me this stone then give up the other stones he offered me?
I ask this because it is not certain that he will be able to bring me the stone that was offered to me here..

Should I give up the offer the supplier gave me?

I really hope he will have the opportunity to bring me stones from Blue Nile and then I will go for the offer of 0-0-0,

But if he doesn't have the option, I'll have to make a decision... should I go with the stones he suggested or tell him to look for others for me

It's a buyers market these days - prices are dropping and there's a great deal of supply in your size range (.70-.90ct) - there's dozens of really great ones now... The 2 he offered are fine but you likely could do better (better executed cut / larger / lower cost) if you wait to hear back.... Most diamonds are listed in the international marketplace and available to anyone with access...

When do you want to propose (need the diamond?)
Do you want the largest colorless D-F eye clean well cut in your price range $4k or are you looking for smaller .70 and ok spending less $$ 2-3k ?

I want to receive the stone within the next 3 weeks or even less.

My budget is about $4000.

Colors D-E-F only.

Clarity VS1 or higher..

Carat 0.70-0.90 (i Prefer size 0.80 or higher but not necessarily).

and well cut ofcourse

Tomorrow I will receive an answer from the supplier if he can get me a stone that I want from Blue Nile.

Hello, diamond144!
Found this one...great proportions, angles, and cut quality:

EDIT...another one.
This one has very fiery proportions and angles, the optics look really good in the 360 rotational video, to my eyes.

wow It looks adorable!

Is there such a stone in VVS1/2 or is it unnecessary?

I wish my seller could bring me the stone you offered even if it would be for an additional fee

.I will ask him tomorrow

VVS is rather unnecessary, especially at these carat weights. VS1 will essentially guarantee visible cleanliness that we can't discern from any VVS or FL/IF, as long as we avoid things such as moderate clouding, graining, or any other inclusions that could scatter light within the diamond (especially if fluorescence is present).

Got it thanks!

What about the location of the inclusions in the diamond you suggested?
I did not see in the certificate that they show the location of the inclusions.
I understood that inclusions in the center of the diamond reduce its value.
Is it possible to see where the inclusions are located?

under 1ct GIA rarely plots the inclusions... si1 and higher VS VVS etc...you would be unlikely to see in real life....especially If it's not "screaming" obvious in the magnified images...

Also in your size range the price differential for the clarity isn't significant so I would mostly focus on the Cut and the Size and the Price...

BTW: are you avoiding Fluorescents ?

So I have nothing to worry about if the inclusions are in the center of the stone

And I'm not interested in fluorescence.

Tomorrow I will inform you if the supplier can bring me the stone you offered

thanks!

I will definitely consider them too.. even though I'm afraid of the G color..

On the other hand, their clarity is better..

By the way I hope all the stones offered to me here have a good HCA score

We'll wait until tomorrow and then we'll be smarter

I wanted to ask if it is possible to know where the stones you offered me are located? (country / supplier name).
It is possible that one of them is physically located at a supplier in Israel..?

Without being a jeweler that has permissible access to those virtual inventory databases, none of us consumers will be able to determine that.
