Well, I have never purchased a semi mount, but I have browsed many sites. ....

yeah..I love this setting, but would want to halo the center stone ( I want a pink pear- tourmaline) but am afraid that it might be hard for a jeweler to match setting...

Also, Novori.com has semi mounts, but get pricey

No but other''s have and been very happy with the results. WF set someone''s pendant from them... I''d buy from them no problem.
