diamond stud earrings

I emailed whiteflash today about the sparkle factor and asked them about changing the settings ,I think they should reply by Monday .I really dont know whether I should keep these diamonds or ask them to look for brighter ones ?

How color sensitive are you? If you're very much so consider jumping a color grade or two. But if you're not, most people find 'J's is that size look very white. As for sparkle, they're ACA's, they're very nice stones. I'll bet once you get them out of those yellow cocoons they rock. You might even ask WF if they've set some other 'J's in WG 8-prong settings that they could send you pics of. That'll give you an idea of what to expect. I'll bet you love it.

actually I (and my wallet !) prefer warmer colors .I am very happy with my 5 stone which is a J SI1 .do you think higher colors would sparkle more ?

Sparkle more, no. Sparkle differently, yes. The lower colors have a warmer look to them that you seem to prefer, while I'm so color sensitive I put a 'D' in the ring I wear every day. I like a crisper sparkle. It sounds like you have exactly the stones you want, but just need to change your setting. BTW, I think they're gorgeous. If you get they reset and still don't like them you can always send them to me.

well now I am really confused ! is it better to have for studs : AGS 000 ideal I VS2 and J VS1 (the ones I already have )OR GIA F SI1 ,ex cut, vg polish, ex sym ? I was looking into whiteflash's inventory .any help ? maybe the F will sparkle more ?

I personally think it is all the yg setting. I think the stones are beautiful and I loved the other 8 prong setting images in wg (actually those pics made me consider the 8 prong for my purchase). I just have a funny feeling if you exchange the YG for WG with those same stones that you will be VERY happy. That is just my opinion

Your lovely new earrings look gorgeous on your daughter but, after seeing the 8 prong version in w/gold, I do think that would help. However, looking at the picture of them in your ears I think you've probably identified what the problem might be. You seem to have very dainty ears that are very flat to your head (wish I had those)! However, that means you don't see the studs front on when looking in a mirror and therefore you don't get to see the full effect. Why don't you ask your daughter to take a photo of them in your ears just from the side a little (so they are face on to the camera). I think you'll then see the full effect and they'll look exactly like they do on your daughter.

They are very beautiful and I hope you love them with the changed setting.

Why confused? Like I said in my last post, it sounds like you have exactly the stones you want, and you know you like warmer colors, so slap those beauties in a WG setting and live happily ever after!

HI every one ,
I contacted WF about resetting my 1.20 ctw studs in 18 kt white gold 4 prong basket setting .I also told them I wanted to change the diamonds .they dont "sing" to me ,every time I look at them I get depressed ! they suggested I choose a higher color (these are I VS2 +J VS1) and they suggested H SI1 ACAs :

I checked both pairs are less than 2 in HCA .they are in the same price range as the old ones by the way ,

I think the H pair would be absolutely fine! You really shouldn't see color in G, H I, or J in earring stones because all you see if the face-up view. H color is not going to sparkle more than I color or less than G color.
