I've noticed several db ads where the sellers mentioned that they've been having trouble getting emails. If you're messaging on db you might want to go into your account and check your message setting - apparently db has either changed its messaging system, or re-set settings somehow in the process of fixing its server problems. Use the "private communication" setting if you'd like to get db messages sent straight to your personal email. With the "public communications" setting, which is apparently the default, messages are kept in your db account but not sent to your email account, but apparently the person you're communicating with can see your email address.

I found responses to a few messages I'd sent in the past few weeks in my db "inbox." Those items have all moved on to others, but I did find what I was looking for yesterday - and figured out the new messaging system at the same time - so all is well!
 
I had mine set to go to both DB and my email, but some came through and some did not. For that reason, it is definitely necessary to check DB messages daily if you have a listing.
 
I set mine to come to both and I still missed a few emails, some were from buyers who set their emails to private, some were not. They were all in the DB messages so I was able to respond to the inquiries.
 
Y'all are right - it is still inconsistent. Weird!
