Diamonds and band color

Hi all I'm looking into a marquise cut diamond about 2.0 with color e-g .

I am interested in people's opinion on band color and it's effects on the diamond. My partner wants yellow gold and I a have heard that this May make color more of an issue with the solitaire ...

I am also interested if fluorescence would be affected by band color ?

Any information would be great ...

I love a minimal fluorescence in blue .

I am looking at a yellow gold band with a white gold claw setting And am interested if this will effect cole ?

An E-G color will look white white white on a yellow gold solitaire mount.

A yellow gold band often makes a lower color (J,K) look more white. I have a 0.8 ct round K color with a yellow band and it looks white whiteee!

thanks for the input guys. I was aware of the lower color looking "whiter" against a yellow band.

But was more interested if there was any play on the light entering the diamond reflected off the yellow gold band ..

if this effects fluro in sunlight etc.
