Disappointed bling bling

That is an incredible difference! The new one looks so much better and the smooth, even bezel really emphasizes the geometric shape of the stone.

That's like night and day...the second attempt turned out great!

Wow, that redo looks FABULOUS! You should post a before and after (scrolling/lazy)! Are you loving the redo? We’re they gracious about it after having the second jeweler do the rework?

Hi Ringo865,
I am very happy with the redo. It looks nicer in person, too! I wish I could wear it to work but I'm a bit clumsy and scared that I might break or scratch it. So far, I only worn it twice when I'm not working. The assistant manager gave me the ring and she seemed nice about it. I took Crazie4Cuts' advice and asked for a picture before I went to pick it up because I didn't want to waste my time if it was not done right. Also, I was ready to ask for a full refund if they couldn't deliver the promised service. Thank goodness I didn't have to ask for a refund. Everyone here has been very helpful and supportive. I'm glad I found this forum :)

Yay! This is what should have been done in the 1st place! Its stunning! Enjoy! I hope now the manager and jeweler realizes what a difference between the 1st and 2nd ring! i think though honestly it took your patience and determination to get this right. So glad you were firm in your stance!

Best to you,
C4C

Thanks again for your support!!! I took your advice and was very firm with them about my expectation and I also asked for a picture of the redo prior to picking it up :)

It looks great - good for you for sticking to your guns! It should have always looked like this. Enjoy your beautiful ring!

Very pretty, sleek and elegant

Garnets are pretty durable! If you work an office job, I wouldn't worry too much about that. If you work in construction, on the other hand... lol

You should definitely wear it now that you have it! (And take hand pics and share them with us!)

Thank goodness they had someone else remake it! I missed your original post, and I would have said don't let the same person remake it because they clearly don't have the skill level to do so! I hope everyone who questioned your desire to have it remade has apologized since seeing how the remake turned out! It's beautiful!

I can't believe they let the first one go out the door, this is sooo much nicer and crisp.

Wow, that is such a huge difference!!! Your new ring is beautiful! Good for you for speaking up and staying firm when the manager tried to make excuses!!

Hi everyone. My ring is finally completed. The store manager had a 2nd jeweler redo the entire process and it looks beautiful. I'm very happy with the result. Thank you again for all the honesty and advices.123_1(5).jpeg

This looks lovely! Glad that they had a chance to redo it and were able to deliver!

Wow- what a difference! It looks so so beautiful- hope you get lots and lots of enjoyment out of it! (btw, late to this thread but did your partner notice the difference after the redo? can't say I would be surprised if he didn't though bc my guy doesn't notice such things)
