Step 6: I decided I liked the look of the green print that was on the reverse side of the blue print. This brings back in the green color I''ve been using throughout. Good thing this is magical paper with two sides!

Step 7: I used a rubber stamp and a positioning tool to stamp the sentiment and design onto the smaller piece. This is a stamp that is specifically designed to fit on that die cut shape, so they looks great together!

Step 8: Score and fold both pieces, then glue them together.

Step 9: Fill a cellophane bag with the goody of your choice. Fold over the top of the bag and staple to the back part of your bag topper. Then, place glue dots over the staples and adhere the top of your topper to the bag.

Step 10: DONE!

It looked like a lot of steps, but it only took me about 10 minutes to make and that including stopping to take photos. I can probably make the other four I need in about 10 minutes combined.

I hope that helps explain what die cutting is...

So that''s super complicated. And I''d rather hire someone to make stuff for me. Get on it.

BTW, nice Sam Adams bottle.

Beer helps the creative process. Or at least that is what i tell myself!

Thanks so much Skippy! I know I went totally overboard with photos but I figure that most people haven''t seen a die cutting machine so I figured I''d share.

Amazing! I cannot believe that is a DIY project. Well done!

WOW that is freakin awesome :), I love your Welcome bags so far they look great :D.

I''ve been contemplating getting a die cut machine. Is it worth it? Do you see yourself using it after the wedding?

I LOVE my machine. I use it all the time, but I do a lot of scrapbooking and card making. I forget where you are - do you happen to live in Southern California? I got my Big Shot for $25 during last year''s Sizzix Warehouse sale. I love love love love love it. I mean, the teal color is hideous but it works like a charm.

Thanks for all the nice comments. I''m working on more now. :)

I''m so impressed with your DIY skills! I can''t wait to see all of the other little goodies you''re making!!!

I was a busy busy girl today! With less than two weeks to go, I spent today pulling together our welcome bags. I made a few changes to what had been going in them previously, so I figured I''d take photos and share everything going in them.

Up first, chosen specifically for my mom, super cute tissues.

Are you going to tell her they are for her?

Those are super cute btw. Where did you get them?

I''ll have to look where I got most of these things... I''ve picked them up here and there so I don''t remember specifics right now.

Pads of paper shaped like margaritas! I knew I had to buy these as soon as I saw them.

Lol at the Margarita pads!!!!

(Thanks for posting some pics tonight. I''m bored...)

I''ve got lots of pics to post. I was bored this morning!

Got some cute chocolate coins. They have bells on one side (seen here) and a heart with the words "Love is Eternal." The best part is that the chocolate isn''t total crap and is sort of yummy.

I want a sample!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Send me some?

None for you because they are all packaged up like this! Slightly modified from last week''s photo.

ericarcoins.jpg

Ok. Well send me a whole bag then!

Nope, I have just enough bags!

I love pillow mints and when I found these I had to have them. Some look like little wedding dresses (it is upside down here and I didn''t notice until I was editing the photo) and some like little tuxes.

ericarmintsclose.jpg

What is a pillow mint?

They are also called butter mints: Pillow Mints. These are all white.

And the mints are packaged as so. The L is for Ken''s initial.

ericarmints.jpg

YUMMY. I love butter mints. Can you send me some of those?

Those I have plenty of leftover.

Next up, little buckets that say Ken and Erica, April 25 2009. I was sort of disappointed in how these actually look so I''m on the fence about using them.

ericarbucket.jpg

Ok. So the question there should be...."Will they fit in the luggage?"

What are they supposed to have in them? BTW, you are a fantastic DIYer. Want to do my invites?
