Personally, I always "chicken out" and get clear stones to go with a colored stone. It might be more boring or conventional or whatever you'd call it but I also just feel like I'm far less likely to get tired of it that way. Custom made pieces are so expensive that I don't want to make a mistake. And I guess additional colors just don't usually appeal to me that much. I'm not sure if it's because I think additional colored stones compete with the center stone or just because I prefer what I'm most used to seeing. JMHO.
I do too, typically! I'm also one of those people who, when she finds a meal she loves at a restaurant, she'll order it every time. But we have so many creatively brave souls here... they've really inspired me to get out of my comfort zone. I'm just trying to avoid a Frankenstein's monster ring, ya know? lol
