Do you guys celebrate your anniversaries?

In the first year I mentioned our anniversary every month (SO thought I was weird). Then the next couple of years it was the 6-monthly ones. Now it's yearly. I wonder if after 30 years we will go 'oh look another decade!'

I guess in the first year there are so many milestones and every month is an achievement after a few years you only acknowledge the major events as there aren't as many firsts.... hmm a bit like babies really where you count the months in the first couple of years and then the years after that.

Haha. maybe. I swear the days/weeks/months are just flying by the older I get...

My SO surprised me with a date at Cirque du Soleil on our first month anniversary. That was very sweet! We have been each time they visit since then.

I think that was the only time we celebrated! Our anniversary is December 27th - so is eclipsed by Christmas and the New Year every time. However every month on the 27th we say 'Happy 27th' to each other. Its our number! I'd love to get married on our dating anniversary, but yikes talk about inconvenient time of year!

For Wedding anniversaries I would love to do the traditional presents, paper, tin etc etc.

Speaking of anniversaries, mine and FF's is coming up in just over a month and I don't know what the get him. I think I may not even get him anything because we're going on a hot air balloon ride that morning and then a fancy dinner, and we're trying to save $$ for our wedding/honeymoon that we've tentatively planned for Jan/Feb 2013. But last year I got him T&Co cufflinks that he LOVES, maybe I should make that a tradition? Gah!

Hmm...how often does he wear cufflinks? Most guys don't need more than a few pairs.

do you ever wear pearls? i was surfing pearl paradise's website, and they have pearl cufflinks for men. pp only has tahitians for cufflinks, but it gave me an idea! i think pearl cufflinks would be super cute for matching if you wear pearls.. at a fancy schmancy ordeal.

but i agree with aud, guys only need a few. is he in dress clothes for work?

a nice belt? i bought a burberry one for SO for graduation, and he loves it. no cheesy emblem logo or anything, but just for the good quality.

Aren't they AMAZING! I've seen Varekai, Dralion, and Saltimbanco. (Loved the first two the most!) I think they come every two years, so will have to wait until next year for another. I really want to see the water one that lives in Las Vegas!

madelise- The pearl idea is cute, but I don't wear pearls. A belt is a good idea, thanks! I got him a Burberry watch for Christmas, so he doesn't need a new watch anytime soon.

Yes! But, I must admit, with our busy schedules, we've been celebrating them less and less.

My now DH asked me to be his girlfriend when we were in high school on June 15th. We celebrated it every year and continue to do it since we got married on that date 7 years after he asked me out

We're about to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary and 11th anniversary all together!

Agreed! SOooo cute! I don't know if we'll celebrate our dating anniversary indefinitely. At the moment, we're planning on getting married in the same calendar month. We embedded a ruby inside my engagement ring to commemorate our dating anniversary though!

I think I would have trouble letting go of our dating anniversary, I'm attached! I hope my SO will humor me with acknowledging both, for at least a little while.

I realised last month we passed by 5.5 years, I thought that sounded fun.
