I wore my original wedding set 24/7 for 5 years. I only took it off to clean it. I now wear a plain 5mm band 24/7. Once i get my new set, I won''t sleep it in but will probably just put my plain band back on b/c i''m just so used to wearing my wedding ring. i feel lost without it on.

I only wear my set when I leave the house- (I still forget to put it on sometimes) I cannot stand wearing jewelry to bed or in the shower.

Other than earrings, I don''t like wearing jewelry to bed. I take off my ering every night and I''ll do the same with my wband after we get married.

No. I don''t sleep in my jewelry.

When I walk in the door from work, all jewelry (earrings, pendants, rings, bracelet, watch) come off and go into my jewelery box. I don''t put them back on again unless I''m going out that evening or until the next morning when I leave the house for work.

Also when I get home, I change into comfy clothes like sweats or shorts or something.

So that''s my regular routine when I walk in the door, jewelery off, comfy clothes on!
If anything I''d be exactly the opposite LOL I''d put them on when I got HOME and take them off to be in public LOL I''m not a fashionista and the vast majority of my personality is the plain band type, not flashy etc. but I do love my diamond and would happily wear it in private LOL Now, I am going to wear it in public, but I''ll enjoy it more at home when I can look at it freely without weird looks... since it is for me it would just be weird to take it off at home.

FTR I''m in the 24/7 camp. I do turn large stones in toward my hand at night so it doesn''t scratch my face... and I''m sure that will make it dirty faster but oh well!!!

I wear my wedding set to sleep and only take them off to shower or work-out. I never take off my bracelet wither. I can''t stand sleeping in studs/earrings or a necklace.

Treat my ering very lightly--only wear out, only when I know I won''t use hands much, take off when get in the door.

Wedding band? hah. I bought it to wear apart from the ering (it''s a Tiffany Elsa Peretti Plat band, ering is filigree art deco+sapphire). I wear it 24/7, shower, sleep, whatever. I only take it off to lift weights or do heavy work with my hands.

Other jewelry? I may wear earrings to sleep but they usually bother me and I have been known to take them off in my sleep!

You take off your earrings in your sleep!?
23.gif
That would freak me out. I'd probably lose my earrings all the time!

The jewellery comes off the moment I''m home. Heck, it comes off at my desk!

Wow, I''m surprised at how many people take off their jewelry when they are home! I feel naked without my rings on.

nope i don''t sleep with any jewelry on. i don''t like wearing jewelry for the most part..i feel more comfortable without it. also my rings are heavy as platinum and so i kind of always ''feel'' them on.

at home on a weekend i don''t even put on my rings til i shower and get ready to leave the house. the ''shower'' is the trigger to put rings on while i get ready. if i don''t go out at all on a saturday, i may never put my rings on that day which i guess is funny if you think of it but i never even notice. my husband is the same way, he really only puts his ring/watch on if he is leaving the house for something.

when i get home all jewelry comes off except rings. when i come home from gym and go into shower, all jewelry and rings comes off. i won''t put rings back on til next day, again when i shower.

I wear my rings pretty much all the time. I even sleep with my earrings on and I also have an ear cuff that stays on. Although sometimes I have to switch sides, the ear cuff sometimes bug me while I''m sleeping. I feel naked without my rings on.

Once I forgot to put my rings on....I called hubby right away to bring them to me asap!

I take off my wedding rings and all other jewelry when I get ready for bed. I clean everything and put it up for tomorrow. I''ve never liked to sleep with any jewelry on.

I am most disappointed. Most of you who have posted a removal reply are my jewelry idols. Upon learning you remove them as soon as .....or that you wear them only when....or.... etc...leads me to believe you are not who I thought you were.

You have spent hours ~ upon days ~ into weeks and then to months designing, ordering, critiquing your purchases...your diamond vendors had to move heaven and earth to appease you ...you guide new comers into making wise choices...you share experiences of years of knowledge so that we will not make the same mistakes...your posts number well into the thousands...some over 10,000. You go through all of this to have the result sit in a bowl, a box, or on a goofy china ring holder probably shaped like a cat with its tail in the air?

This is a sad...pathetic day for me. Disappointed...I''ll say.

I was thinking sort of the same thing, without all the smiley faces! I''m quite surprised at:

a. how many of you sleep with all your rings on

and

b. how many of you take off your rings as soon as you get home! (for shame...
38.gif
!)

Mostly I''m surprise about the "b" group because let''s face it, home is the one place where you can clean your ring obsessively, and look at it from every conceivable angle and lighting condition without enduring looks of bafflement from your friends, family and/or co-workers!

I take all rings/jewelry off to sleep.

I have a whole "procedure" for where the rings have to go when I take them off. If the stuff isn''t in it''s right place when I go to sleep I have to get up and put it there.

Over the years this has prevented me losing very much jewelry. However, I have just lost an 18K necklace in the house. No clue where it is. I even took the vacuum bag out of the vacuum and cut it open to look for it in case it got vacuumed up. Gross! A lot like dissecting a frog in science class. You cannot imagine that stuff was all over your floors. But I digress......

I misplaced the necklace cause I broke my own rules. Tsk tsk
38.gif
. But I don''t sleep with jewelry on, don''t do dishes or housework when wearing it either.

I don't wear my rings to bed.

I only wear my wedding ring and an antique family heirloom ring to work. I got into the habit of not wearing my e-ring all of the time after I accidentally scratched one of the kidlets I work with across the face. It scared me into not wearing it. Now when I wear it it's like a treat!

I''m sorry to hear about your necklace, Beacon
38.gif
. I was wearing my ring on a chain at work, but decided against it because I was afraid the chain would break and my ring would be lost forever
32.gif
. Hopefully your necklace will turn up!

door knob..your post was too funny, although I promise, when I get my new ring to wear it, even at home (except for sleeping)

Btw, I have to fight the urge to remove my rings in public when I use hand sanitiser. When I'm working, everything sits on my desk. I should get a ring box for my office.
27.gif

I take everything off for bed. If I''m feeling especially sentimental, I''ll wear my plain wedding band to bed. I too swell, so I don''t wear my band when out walking, although sometimes when I pass strange men I wish I was.

I take my earrings and pendant off to sleep too. Most mornings I clean them ultrasonically before wearing them.

And I take my rings off to wash my hands. I''m sure women wonder what I''m doing when I take them off and sometimes have to place them beside the sink (eek), but I get a rash if I don''t and worry that the soap scum is lessening my rings'' shine.

I do exactly the same thing as Suzy. For some reason, the second I walk in my door all of my jewelry, clothing and shoes feel annoying and I have to take the jewelry off and put on comfy clothes immediately.

Plus I don''t like cat hair on my clothes and with 3 kitties, that''s pretty much inevitable if I leave my real clothes on!

Eternity ring stays on, no matter what. Earrings come off, reluctantly.

DK: pretty funny! I at least enjoy looking at my jewelry when I take care of everything at night.

Harriet: I do have a double ring box for my office so I take off my ering and RHR whenever I go to the little jeweler’s room or wash my hands. One of the ladies that works for me has started to do the same thing. I also have any empty ring box in my purse for the same reason.

Surfgirl: My husband teases me about my obsessive jewelry cleaning. I have both an US and a steam cleaner but I at least don’t use them on the same day . . . except for on the weekend and my husband is playing golf so he doesn’t see me do that.

I might occasionally forget to take of my necklace but all other jewelry comes off, it makes me crazy to wear it to bed.

DKS, you''re so right! Hahaha! Will it help if I say that I clean my e-ring every night and sometimes I put it back on just to look at it when I''m hanging out at my house?
