Do you think about other PSers....

I've been a lurker for years and just recently joined. I still lurk more than post, but I check in most days and do think about people and posts. It's like a big family and I'm one of those distant cousins you hear from every couple of years. ;))

Nope. Maybe if I had PS "friends" but I just kind of float in and out of discussions.

I also feel like i'm not really "in" here... Perhaps it's because I don't share a lot of personal info with others, as this is a public forum. I feel like if i'm gone for a while, no one would even notice. But I still love interacting with everyone here!

I feel the same, except I still think about people on here.

Anytime I am asked about nursing school and my personal statement, I automatically think of Haven.

When I think of art, I think of Kenny and Deb

When I think of people who give really good advice I think of Dreamer, Monarch, Indy.

When I think about LIW, I think about all the girls on there like slg, beezy, jessie, peaches, and all the other ladies on there.

When I think about nails, I think about amethyst.

When I think of what someone on here might look like or something, I think about DF

I actually think about PS a lot...its my escape.

I should add that the people I named are just a few of the people I think about....there is a long long list.

Sara... I really like being a Mom, it's kind of amazing. ::) And I'm glad we did it. But I'm also glad we waited as long as we did, and that we had the experiences of seeing how people around us raised their kids--I feel like somehow we are more prepared.

I wonder about Sara in China.

Thanx for thinking bout me.
I've been so busy working lately and have only painted some practice sheets so far to experiment with color mixing and technique.
I'll post in-progress pics and little lesson tingies when done or further along.

Next week I should have the necessary large blocks of time.

You wonder about ME? What do you wonder? How well I can use chopsticks? Hehe - better than some chinese ;)

What it's like for you to live in China.
BTW are you of Chinese heritage?

I find what comes up when different cultures meet to be very interesting.

Life in China is weird... on the one hand living for a major american company as an expat has its perks for sure, on the other hand the contrast is so intense it's really nice to be able to afford to live a little bit like at home. I don't know how happy I would be if I was living like the chinese - I'm way too spoiled for that. There are SO many details and ins and outs, I am happy to answer questions but I feel a bit egocentric just going on without encouragement lol

And no, I'm not of Chinese heritage, I'm Scandinavian. Yanno, blue eyes, light blonde hair, fair skin, rosy cheeks - though I have had two chinese men ask me if I'm chinese - quite bizarre... I don't look chinese at all!

yes I do but I've been able to contact them off of PS and now keep in touch via email or facebook.

I think about PS'ers whenever I'm in a jewelry store - I'll see something in the store and think "____ from PS would like this one."

Every time I see a Hermes Birkin, I think of Madam B ;)) .

Cehra - I'd love to hear more if you would be interested in sharing in a thread! I'd love to hear about the culture, the food, the day to day life... everything!

Hm, had to think about that. I do, but only the ones I talk to offline.

I mostly think about topics. I like to discuss with DH and hear his opinions.

I do remember about things people say, for example this Saturday I was speaking with one of my best friends. She meet a guy backpacking and they really like each other, so I told her that I read about someone from the USA that met her DH in Europe while backpacking (Thinking about TG story). I find myself doing that a lot, their stories just stick with me.

Since I join the TTC thread. I starting thinking more about people here. I always share to DH who is pregnant and my admiration to some ladies. This Sunday I woke up thinking about steal, if she had test or not and what was the result. I think sharing with them this step of my life, is making me think about them more often.

I, also. Now that I can recognize one.

I think about those going through rough times a lot more I think. Like the past two days I've thought a lot about Kaleigh. I think about Lorelei and wonder how she's been doing.

I think about PSers when I'm not on PS. I've met quite a few from Boston, and it's always fun to hang out with them (although it doesn't happen often enough). I think about them and wonder how they're doing (Alj/Allison D., NEL, HH, and Selkie are just a few). I also think about Princesss and Tacori and her family. It was really fun getting to know them while living in the same city as them. :wavey:

I also occasionally think of others I haven't met in person. I think of the PS teachers like Haven and Tuckins during the school year. Haven and I have the same degree, and although we chose different paths, we seem pretty similar in a few ways.

I agree! Whenever I get my reading publications I wish we could chat about the interesting articles together!
I also wonder if you're at the national convention every year. Orlando 2011? Are you in? :naughty:

Orlando, huh?! I'd LOVE to go (I've never been to one), but I'm not sure my PD $ covers a trip that pricey. Actually, I KNOW my PD $ doesn't go that far. Maybe 2012. If I can save enough to foot the bill, my principal HAS to let me go...hopefully.

Thanks Zoe, I often think about the other fellow teachers on here throughout the school year. ::)

Everytime I see a ring of exceptional size or quality on a stranger, I wonder if they ever consulted PS or whether they are a long-standing PS member. If the ring looks "familiar" I run home to do a search to see if the PS member that owns a similar ring lives in my area!

Lately I have been having PS dreams starring many of you! ;))
They are mainly dreams about gems, but it is funny how PS has been making its way into my subconscious...

Yes.

I think about most PSr's all the time outside of being online and interacting with them.

It's weird!

When I first started "PS'ing", I thought about Mara and Deco and TGal a lot, as well as CFlutist, Karl (aka "Storm"), and so many others.

Then it became so many others...Zoe, Freke, AGBF, MMM, Movie Zombie, Skippy, Harriet, Quetiki, Appletini,

There are so many names that seem familiar that remind me of others.

If I sat and really thought about all the names, I could come up with TONS.

Whitby.

I mean, I really do think about these posters on a daily basis. I really do.

I'm flattered that anyone thinks of me! SomethingShiny--we've had the only relationship I can think of that hasn't carried over to another site. You've been there for me when I've gone through some ridiculous times and gotten divorced; I've watched and "been there" for you while you've had your second child...

I love Haven and all she has to say whether I agree with her or not.

Kenny, I'm Danny, Dancing Fire...I've had so much fun listening to your male points of view!

There are just so many people I think about on a daily basis that I can't even name. I've always thought you were all wonderful or I wouldn't take the time to post here.

Whomever I don't post...I'm sorry. It's a total oversight.

This is a tough thread! Maybe I can come back later and post more kindreds???

Delurking to say thanks dragonfly... :halo:

And Lorelei, she's doing just great. I'll let her know you were thinking of her.

I also think of those when they're visiting Ireland and look out for them if I'm in town in Dublin.
I do this too, especially this summer when there were a few visiting Ireland. When I'm in Dublin I definitely keep an eye out for you bee*! I wonder what I'd do if I actually bumped into you. I'd probably be shy, but then the sparkles from that gorgeous Lucida would win out and I'd go running towards it like a crazy person ;)

I think about PSers sometimes, if something in my real life relates to something that is happening/has happened on PS. Also, the advice I've read here over the years is something I think about when I need to. Or as Cehrabehra would say, WWPSD! This place is a goldmine of wonderful advice and lessons.

I just checked back in on this thread. Sending Kaleigh prayers for a quick recovery and dust.

I do. I think about advice I have received here and the care and support as well. I think about how other PSers are doing, what advice and support I can give them. I think about the projects, the situations and how everyone is doing. I think about new members too - who are they, will they find what they are looking for, etc.

I think about the topics raised and the debates (and how to show everyone the right answer - aka, what I think! Just kidding - I value all the opinions shown and I learn a lot from them).

I am not an easy person to get to know. Both my basic personality and a very long struggle with depression (I am finally getting the help and medication I need), I don't reach out to people and I am not good at getting close, even when I want to. I am terrible at answering email (some people know exactly what I am talking about, since I really should answer their kind messages!). However, PS has almost convinced me to join facebook.

Please tell me what has happened to Lisa. I am obviously not reading the right threads. I have read that people hope she gets well, and now seen her pop back in. Lisa, I hope you get well, too! I don't know what happened. I haven't read the thread for us older folks in a week in or so (naturally I have always planned to catch up). I am wondering if the answer lies there!

Hugs,

Thanks Monnie! I can't remember if I was a member of PS or if I was still lurking around the same time that you went through a difficult time, and I thought of you often. Now, I'm SO HAPPY for you, and I still think of you at times. I love the advice you give others, too.
