Hi avenger,

I take it this is a fancy shape? There is a feature at the top of each page called "Pricescope you diamond". You can plug in the stats and see how yours compares with those online. Since yours is from a local shop, you can expect the price to be higher, anywhere from a couple hundred dollars to several hundred, as each jeweler can price a stone at whatever they want.

Ellen,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it is a Princess cut diamond. Just like you said, the price is about $1000 higher than those found online. I got those quotes from stores in the LA Jewelry District. Would you or anyone else on the board suggest that I get the diamond from online instead?

Thanks

Yes most of us would. Start by checking out Whiteflash and Good Old Gold. They are both wonderful online vendors, with full upgrade policies, and a nice selection of ideal cut princess stones.

Ditto, and welcome to Pricescope

Thanks for the suggestion on those two place to check out online. However, my gf would like a place local so she can get the stone clean or condition easily. Based on the price I post above, how much do you think I can negotiate?

Btw, this forum has taught me so much already, so thank you :)

One more question, what is the ideal angle for the table and depth?
