Totally. “Homer” is pretty slang-y, and I suspect it might not play well in some English-speaking countries that don’t share the US’s baseball tradition.

Homer just seems like an uncharacteristic choice. Hover would have made more sense…

I was wondering when something like this would happen! Quite honestly though, if I’d been in their shoes, I think I’d have made the same choice.

I finally had a good day after about a week of ones that were less than!

I got really lucky today and had a lot of green and yellow letters with my first two word guesses in Quordle (including three green and one yellow in the word I think @VRBeauty is referring to)!

I often play Phrazle later in the day when my husband is home so I can ask him for help because he's much better at knowing common phrases. I just choose any random words to start with that don't even make sense, but have letters I like and then go from there. Just an example of how bad I am with phrases, yesterday I guessed rose covered glasses on my second turn instead of rose colored.

ETA:
I also notice that I usually do better with the afternoon Word Hurdle. Common for me is a 4 in the morning and a 3 in the afternoon. (which I just did again today)

I do the same when I play. No way I have any idea what the phrase might be when I first start so I just put in words with common letters and see what happens.
