Yekutiel at IDJ is AMAZING, he took the setting from my profile pic with a 1.4 stone and put a bigger basket with eagle claw prongs for a 2.7. His work is flawless, no one can tell it’s not the original stone but they all do double takes and grab my hand to look at it up close now. I’d hammer out what design I like the most and send it to a few vendors that come highly recommended here on PS to get quotes. I think IDJ should be pretty competitive and for the quality of their work, it’s my go to. I’m so excited for you!!!

What’s the name of his site? I’d like to speak to him too. Ty for reminding me of his work. I hear good things about his jewelry.

I love how you said your 3 stone will satisfy you for “some time” bc that’s exactly how I feel. What did you do with your previous side stones? Are they traps?

I’m not sure if this was meant for me but seeing as I’m the only one who posted an EC ring, I’ll answer your questions.

Yes, they’re traps. The center measures 9.85x7.45mm (forgot the depth) while each side EC stones are 6.05x 5.02mm. My finger size is 6.25 but had it made 6.5. And yes, ”she” never fails to make me smile.

I saw your other thread RE setting. Some of the most gorgeous 3 settings here on PS were made by David Klass and CvB. You can’t go wrong with either one (and any other PS recommended vendors, frankly). It just depends on your preferred style or vibe and that ever pesky thing called budget.

Yep, sold the traps to get the sides. Awesome that you got your project started already! Waiting will be torture but you’ll have a really exciting start to the year ahead. Yay!

DK has made a (probably several) ring that was able to be worn as an enhancer with a solitaire but fit so snugly against that it appeared to be a three stone Ring. Let me go look...brb

I found an example DK has done. This one has pave on the sides of all of the crowns. You could design something like this for your stones then you could still have a solitaire to stack with bands or wear it with the wrap like a three stone for a bigger. Long factor.

So funny you posted this! I was wondering if I should just do this for now!

I still want an EC ring some day too. That’s way down the line tho and I’d rather invest my money wisely since you lose so much when you trade or sell on your own at times. Especially in my case when my current stone was purchased at a Brick and Mortar store.

Another vote for the three stones route! It looks lovely on you AND once you save enough for the "go big or go home" upgrade, you can then wear the three stones ring as the right hand ring & earn extra brownie points from hubs for keeping the OG engagement stone!
