Oh the dear little girl, bless her cotton socks. LC I''m so sorry for what you''ve been through, just reading your post prompted me to get up and give my little foxie girls a cuddle, I''d be a mess if anything happened to them. I can''t imagine how terrible it must have been for you. She''s a real trooper though, I can''t believe the difference between the first few photos! Animals are so resilient. Take care of your dear pooch, and of course yourself!

Update!

It''s been a while since I checked in with y''all, but I have GREAT NEWS to report!

It''s been 43 days since Maddie''s incident, and she''s improved dramatically. We just got back from the vet''s office, and he says that she won''t need anymore surgery!!! Yay! Her skin has almost completely grown back. So, no skin grafts, no face lifts, nothing needs to be done. She''ll never grow her hair back, but the skin will still do its purpose of acting as a protective barrier. Once her mustache grows back, we''ll hardly be able to see it.

It''s been a very long ordeal, and I''m glad we''re nearing the end of it.

On another note, my husband should be home from Iraq sometime this week!!!! Finally!!! It''s been another long 14 months without him!

I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for Maddie. Also, special thanks for those of you who encouraged me to let her heal and not put her down. I cannot even believe I allowed myself those thoughts.
