E-Ring Setting: Please help. 1.5 pointers on band

Hi All,

This says they are 1.5 pointers on the band and that is what my jeweller has said we will use but then I was looking on here and saw a few photos that made me a little concerned as they said they were 1 pointers and they looked huge.

So what I am asking is, will 1.5 pointers look huge? Can you show me your pave bands 2mm and under using 1- 1.5 pointers?
Any advice on what I should be asking for to get a 1.8mm band?

1.5 pointer has a diameter of 1.5mm.

ok so that would allow for the band to be about 1.8mm with metal or? would it be more like 1.5mm?

So SC is saying that it looks like the right size for a 1.8mm band to have 1.5 pointers. You need a little bit of metal on the sides to set the pave.

Btw, I have a 1.8mm band with 1.5 pointers, looks fine. I'd take a photo for you, but I can't get any good ones. <sigh>

Any photo could be great just an idea if possible!
